FPI simulates 2020 SEC football season
« on: September 25, 2020, 09:46:22 am »

"Week 9

Arkansas' surprise win on the road against Texas A&M gives the Razorbacks a nice 3-2 start to 2020, rebounding from two opening losses against Auburn and Georgia. The Sam Pittman era is going well early.

Week 14

Though Arkansas lost expectedly against Alabama, the Razorbacks finish the season at .500."

I have to admit, this was cool to read. Not that it really means anything, but what a start .500 would be!

If we finish 5-5, that's coach of the year stuff!

I could see us winning 4 or 5 games this year

Definitely a fun read.  But keep in mind, Florida has a 1% chance to win the CFP according to FPI.  Yet they won it all in this simulation.  Still fun to see something on ESPN that has Arkansas at .500 for the season, no matter how unlikely.

absolutely!!  IF Sam can pull off 5-5 or even 4-6, start commissioning a statue of the man who rebuilt Hog football.  No, thats a little hasty, but if we could win 4 SEC games against what has been deemed the most difficult schedule in the country after losing 18 games in a row in conference, well that is legend type stuff considering where we have been

If that happened, Pittman wouldn't be coach of the year. They'll find some other coach to give it to.
