After seeing Rori Harmon commit to Texas, that is very good news.  I was hoping that Rori Harmon, Jersey Wolfenbarg, and Maryam Dauda would commit, but most of all, I wanted Wolfenbarg or Dauda, and hopefully both.

I wonder if hoopgurlz knows that she's gained about 4 inches. She should be rated higher. Her game is very similar to Satou Sabally.

when the services started evaluating her she was 5-6, that 11 inches of growth.  But various of them have her at 6-1 to 6-2 even in their latest updates

But they also have Elauna at 5-11 to 6-0 and she is 6-1 now.

Jersey is easily 6'4" but is still very thin.  When she stops growing, she will gain some weight and strength.  I think she will prove the raters wrong and easily could be a first team collegiate player before she is thru.  Now let's get Maryann to go with her.  She has the potential to be another Candace Parker.

Oh please, you called that play Chuck lol!  Great pick up, for sure. Helps the national perception that it's okay to come to Arkansas for a high major recruit.

Flippin is right ... I hoped! I tried to believe. But I was really nervous about Oregon.

Have faith in CMN! And I hope that, once and for all, this will drive a stake through the idea that the best instate players always leave. Eaton, and now Jersey! #WPS

Great, great, great!  This is a big one and hope we can get a commit from Ms. Dauda soon.  I really hope we can kick the virus' a$$ in the near future so we'll be able to watch all these young women (and men) play this academic year.  Above all though, stay safe and don't take chances with this thing.  A few extra weeks of responsible social distancing is not going to hurt.

I liked her hugely before the interview, but she has a wide eyed innocence (despite being a stone cold killer offensively) very similar to Makayla Daniels that its hard not to be captivated by.  I am doubly glad that she is so articulate.

Shes essentially a female version of Anthony Davis with the PG skills and massive growth spurt and still maintaining the ball skills. Exciting times for the women Hogs for sure.

Is it possible that at 6'5, Jersey might make the transition from guard to center? Just curious. Thanks!

She is too talented to just be a post player.  She does play defensive center for Northside.  That would be like putting James or Magic Johnson at center.  Sure she will post up but that will not be her primary position.

This is great to see. Couple this along with the top in-state players in boys basketball picking the Hogs too, maybe these in-state recruits will finally start wanting to play for the Hogs instead of snubbing Arkansas and going out of state.
Who knows ... fingers crossed that maybe Goforth and Christyn Williams will come back home where they should have gone in the first place. But I won't hold my breath.

Northside is becoming a feeder school for the hogs! Isaiah Joe, Jaylen Williams, and now Jersey. The talent is there and has always been there, but now they just need to amp up on their nutrition program (except for Jaylen). Go Grizzlies!

These are the type players the great teams get...height and skills. Arkansas has been lacking this for some time. If they get Dauda, then Mike Neighbors is well on his way to competing with the SC's on the court. It's amazing how quickly he's turning this program around.

Agree with this 1000%. She may defend a big, but there is no way Mike doesn't let her create on offense using dribble drive most of the time.

Williams seems to be quite content at UConn. Plus, I don't think she really got to know CMN or her staff before she signed with UConn, so I'm not sure if there's any relationship there (apart from repping the home state).

Goforth could be a different story. If she gets homesick, or if like Slocum she feels like Rueck's offense isn't a good fit for her, I could see her thinking about transferring home. But those are two big "ifs." She certainly seems to be very excited about her opportunities in Corvallis, which is as it should be.

The state of Arkansas is churning out a ton of top basketball players.
Both men and women. Highly rated national players.

Just keep the majority of them at home, and the makings for a great team is there.
The tide is turning for keeping the girls at home, you can see it happening.
Coach Neighbors is convincing them to stay here.
The timing was bad for Chrystyn Williams, Coach hadn't been here long enough to persuade her, and Williams hadn't seen enough of what Coach is doing with the program to change her mind.

Coach Musselman just signed four Top 100 national players---all from Arkansas.
Four in one year will be rare, but the point remains.
The talent is here.

Of course, this only works in basketball.
Sign four top recruits from Arkansas for football, and there are 18 other starter positions to fill, and 81 other scholarship players.
It's just a numbers game.

The numbers work for basketball.

Which is why the state should be more invested in high school basketball. But its all about football here.

I wouldn't agree with that necessarily.
I see a lot of passion for both.
Everyone in the SEC is passionate about football. Arkansas is one of the few schools that is very passionate about basketball as well.
I'm the same way.
If the sport has a Hog in it, I'm interested in it, and I follow it.

As AD Yurachek said, they had to get the football hire right. We'll see if he did.
But football pays the bills, and you must have a competitive football program for your entire athletic dept to be successful.
That's just reality.
Football pays the bills, basketball does not. Baseball does not. It's nice that those two sports are self-sustaining at the UA, though.
