Drive by sports
« on: December 02, 2019, 05:46:08 pm »

Marcus Elliot finally making a good point. Holding current coaches accountable. Sunshine Rick can't believe that Lunney might not be the savior everyone thinks. Rick thinks Lunney should stay on to point out talent for new coach and can't fathom that maybe he was part of the problem

Heard the same thing. Kiffin doesn't have to keep any of Morris coaches.
Sounds like all the pom poms stuff just like Thurman being on Muss staff.
We need to whole new staff just like Muss did

Lunney wasn't the problem with the previous staff, but I can't imagine for a second that the next staff would need Lunney to point them in the direction of talent.

Lunney could be an asset if the new staff choses. I am never a fan of the new staff having to retain coaches if they don't wish to.

Lunney is part of the 2-10 regime. He should be looking elsewhere for a job.

i could care less if they don't like it or not

I would rather Lane add his prospect coaches at FAU than retain someone from the Bert and Clown regimes. The 6 SEC players in Arkansas would be fine with Lane and his guys.

Yeah, no person is bigger than the program, this is business not about homer feelings. .

I donít get this mentality either. This goes for players and coaches for me. I donít care where youíre from or who your daddy is/was. I want the best available player and best available coach. If youíre looking at your board and you have a similar grade between two players and one is from Ark and the other out of state, then Iíd give the advantage to the in-state kid. But taking less talented kids just because theyíre from Arkansas, or only wanting certain coaches because theyíre from Arkansas and not because they are the best at what they do is part of our problem.

I like Lunney and his commitment to the university, but our Tight Ends were very bad this year. They were absolutely horrendous and kept getting worse as the season went along.

I am tired of being sentimental and having integrity, letís drain the swamp!

We ALL get it, YOU don't like Lunney. Many of us do like Lunney, but it is up to the new HC to choose his staff. It is NOT up to those of us that like Lunney, nor is it up to those that dislike Lunney.

I am NOT advocating Lunney for HC, but I would bet that in 2 years he would win more than 4 games!!!

Lunney is part of the 2-10 regime. He should be looking elsewhere for a job.

This is just dumb thinking.  Let's set aside the fact that the TE coach was not the problem and the players obviously played hard for the guy the last 2 weeks.  Let's just examine the logic of "he has to go."
It is the EXACT same thing as saying the next staff should have to keep him.

New coach picks his new staff...  the best staff he can assemble.  Period.
