Curious if these boosters that are pulling their money would be willing to help with the buyout

avg 9 wins a year for 8 seasons at nebraska

Irrelevant. We want a coach that can win 11-12 a year in the SEC.

Should have been fired 3 weeks ago! Rip the bandage off the wound and let's get the healing going!

He never wanted to be here anyway- he wanted to be at Texas A&M.
His wife never wanted to be here - and she never was.

Well by sucking, he's assured himself no chance at A&M unless it's a position coach

But they do let it be known they won't be continuing those donations for the following year.  That's the threat.

You underestimate these peoples loyalty and history behind their support. HY is not going to do anything soon.

Pelini.  The mega church would lose their mind.  Too bad if you look at his resume and what this program needs in terms of toughness.

A hard ass coach that demands perfection in every little detail would be nice.

I wouldn't laugh at 1 million.  But I'm not Bob Stoops.

Donations already went from $36 million in 2017 to $28 million in 2018, while expenses, at least temporarily went way up to $52 million for the Foundation.  So, losing money, any money, is a big deal.  Particularly if they are just trying to buy time until next year to fire him.  If that is all they are trying to do, then the real number to consider is not the total cost of the buyout, but the difference between what it is now and what it will be after next year.  That, of course, is a much smaller number than the total buyout and makes firing much more possible.

I have no idea what's going to happen.  It's fun to watch the circus though.

What I do know is that if we had a good coach, we'd be undefeated right now.

Donations went back up to $36M last year, although I don’t know how much of that was tied to the baseball/track facilities.

At LEAST 4-2 or 5-1. Not 2-4.

The phones are ringing off the hook in both the AD’s office and the Razorback Foundation.

Multiple boosters have let Yurachek know they’re pulling their donations until Morris is gone.

This is coming from a former trustee, fwiw.

Bingo and that is what far too many are losing sight of, it will cost us millions to fire him, it will cost us many more millions to keep this shite show going!

If I didn't need it, didn't want to work full time, and/or didn't want to tarnish my legacy by going to Arkansas, yeah, I'd laugh at it. I think Bob Stoops falls into all three categories. The Stoops and Meyers of the world are not coming to Arkansas. With our schedule/situation, there is too much risk for failure. If they want to coach again, they will have better options.

Hmm... Spurrier went to South Carolina.

Legacy is an interesting thing, particularly if you want to prove it's the "coach", not the "program".

Don’t worry, they’ll pay that money for Gus after he loses to LSU, Georgia, and Bama to finish out the season.

If Stoops wanted to compete for national championships at big time college programs, he wouldn't have left OU.  I imagine he got tired of the fanbase calling for his job or his brother's job after OU would lose their first game of the year.

Our program at this point would be content with being respectable against and eventually winning 8 to 9 games a year.  He wouldn't face that backlash here.

Eh, Stoops took a pay cut from his position in the Oklahoma athletic department to coach stress-free in the XFL. I don't think money really concerns him right now.

Youngstown is home for him though.  It won't happen at Arkansas:

His public behavior wouldn't fit.

We are obsessed with needing a HUNH coach as head coach.

We think we need someone tied to Arkansas or Texas directly.

It really only matters which boosters are calling, some’s zero’s are more important than others, interesting if true.

Page 244 of the media guide states nearly 1/3 of RF members give between $50-$1,000 per year. Those calls/opinions probably don't carry much weight.

Season ticket holders give a lot more than that.  Lose a thousand of them and you’re talking a significant amount of money.
