Just saw this.

No, it is not time to bring them back.  The practice of blocking the plate (or any base) without the ball was ridiculous; the guy with the armor was less fearful of the spikes coming into his leg. 

I saw more catchers cheating on the rule last year than I did in '18, and hope it is a point of emphasis in the off-season.
