I like New Hampshire.  It's wide, flat, basically two drag strips with hairpins connecting them.  Bigger version of Martinsville.

Harvick has historically been good there as well so that helps.

Race time.  It's hot so we'll see just how all that extra downforce works on a slippery track today.

Funny thing, Jimmie Johnson is in Alex Bowman's back-up car.

Got that backwards.  Alex Bowman is in Jimmie's back-up car.  It's a fluid and confusing situation.

10 laps in and Kyle Busch has over a 1-second lead.

That is a great way to describe this kind of layout.   I like it also...

Caution out, Stenhouse brutally assaulted the wall.

BRB, gotta go find my "I'm so surprised" face.

Edit:  Finally showed a replay of what led to this wreck.  Looked like the 20 slid up into Stenhouse's car earlier and caused a tire rub on the left front.

With 7 laps to go in Stage 2, on a restart Bowyer just slid up in front of Truex putting them both into the wall.  We'll see if Nascar goes green or runs out the last 4 laps of Stage 2.

It's ok, Bowyer taking up where Stenhouse left off

Kyle into the wall.  Doesn't look like much damage, but he's gonna have problems.

The crowd cheer when the 42 started to spin is indicative of how this race has gone so far.

Hamlin is dominant late in the race, unfortunately.

And I failed early in the race to vent my white-hot frustration with traction compound.

Let's be one of the three cars to stay out under caution, even though the fastest car on the track - Hamlin's - is coming down pit lane for at least 2 tires.

Harvick going to have to earn this one if he can hold off the 11 for 26 more laps.

Hamlin is overdriving the corners, but he is finally making small gains on the 4.  0.4 seconds back with 6 laps to go....  And there it is, he went too hard and lost 0.3 seconds.

Harvick has this in the bag.  Just has to keep the back end of the car from passing the front end.

Effing Austin Dillon waited too long to clear the path, bout gave me a heart attack.

Hamlin clearly doesn't know how to use his bumper on purpose.

Amazing run by Harvick on old tires.

I think the Hamlin is racing for his job next year, Christopher Bell is going in one of the JGR cars next year.

Great bit of driving by Harvick to negate the "bump" by Hamlin.  I didn't think Harvick had a chance once he got pushed up the track.

I actually watched the finish, it was sort of exciting, which is rare in Nascar these days. Hopefully it will continue.
