Morris was asked point blank about this in his recent interview where he talks about position changes.

Very disappointing if true

can't speak on the walk on stuff, but the statement about having his starters picked out in the Spring was just flat out wrong.

Numerous posters on this board slammed Morris for not deciding on a QB prior to the start of the season.  He was flipping through QBs during September.  He also had other lineup changes during the season.

They talked about it yesterday at SEC Media Day.

Meh.  I'm sure every coach has ex-players that didn't make the cut or didn't get as much playing time as they think they deserved and so they talk trash.  Personally nothing really matters except Morris's record at the end of the day.

As long as he does his job and improves the team and program overall...it won't matter if he is viewed as a 2nd Dad or a robot to all these young players.

Inside The Team (@InsideTheTeam_) is a Twitter handle that posts anonymous player quotes about college football coaches.

Here is the one about Chad Morris.

A player can say anything on Twitter, that is the world we live in, we all hope last season results were not a indicator of Morris ability to coach...

We can all hope for a good season, would like to see six wins, we will know soon enough , Morris need to " SHOW US" for the sake of our Football program..

To get this BS moved, let's start posting who we think the quote is from.  Since it was talked about at the SEC media days and all.

His son didnít play for Morris, he had already given up football to work on his grad work, or preparation for it.

I seriously doubt the validity of the quote.

The "player" starts by complimenting Coach Morris on his ability to coach, his coaching IQ, and his drive and desire to develop relationships with his players, and to have those players grow into professional young men. Then the "player" goes on a diatribe contradicting his opening statement in every possible way; finally finishing with another statement that Coach Morris could be great coach, but needs to work on player relationships.

The statements and the supporting facts contradict themselves ... doesn't hold water IMHO ....

Lots of things with football are divided out by "position groups".  Why wouldn't a locker room be?  QB's with QB's, LB's with LB's, Walk-on's with walk-on's? oh...and could it have been Nate Dalton?

LOL! Good plan!

We need to see just how good a coach Chad Morris really is, and the best way we can do that is to do our part to undermine recruiting at every opportunity...

so all of these posts with some level of consternation would seem we have found our Coach Morris lovers. I  read it and think that it is not a good look, but how valid is it? Then i think what in the quote is provable? So were all of the walk-ons segregated from the rest of the team? somebody would know this, and if this is really a player, do you think he would be the only one to feel that way? I have held for years that BB didn't always play the best player preferring upperclassmen over more talented underclassmen in my opinion, so to think another coach would also do this is not unbelievable. I am not a CM fan but I am not a hater either, he just hasn't produced on the field for me to get all gushy over him and a lot of last year looked like coaching contributed to our awful performance.

Well trash this crap now.  What's the hold up.  Look I'm not trying to protect Morris but AS OF JULY 1ST HOGVILLE WILL BE ALL FOOTBALL.

That's not football is bullschit, and last I checked it's July 18th.
make no mistake. If someone posted something like this about DVH in EI, it would last about 8 seconds and the OP would be banned.

I havenít posted in a couple months and donít want my son dragged into this.  He hasnít ever spoken to anyone from the media about anything from his time in the program.  He chose to move on and graduate in three years. Our family wish Coach Morris and the program the best.  I find it frustrating and cowardly that someone would attempt to involve him in this.

UnknownNobody and Tusked are pieces of crap as far as Iím concerned.  My son busted his tail for three years and then they implicate him in bashing the program he grew up dreaming to be a part of.  Great fans.

Man, thatís pitiful.

Itís not about being a Chad Morris Lover. Itís about being an Arkansas Razorbacks Fan and actually supporting the players and coaches that are there working to give the fans something to be proud of. Itís about being a good enough person to actually give someone an actual chance, without second guessing and undermining their every word or action.

Itís about having some common decency and a little humanity. CM is the actual Head Coach of the Razorbacks. The program is way down but he didnít build it that way.

Man, sometimes......

got it can't disagree or question anything to be a real fan. Nah you go ahead, I would prefer to be a reasonable adult about it, I have supported all of our coaches and players until they have proven they didn't deserve it, like Nutt, Ford, BB, even Kines and Smiley I supported until they failed so horribly.
