Thanks Mizzou and let's go Kentucky. MSU is going to beat Bama, so that just has to be dealt with next weekend.

We have played more road games than any other SEC West team and we're still only .5 Games back from first. If we can take care of business at home for the rest of the season we will be vying for first in the West and possibly the whole conference. Only 1 GB from Georgia

That rally was huge. Absolutely huge. How did we get so many hits and only win by a deuce ?  Strike that, STRIKE THAT. Doesn't matter how, only that we won the game. A very important game, too.

that's when I rolled into Hogville, when Bogghawg said, "I've this feeling we are going to win." That was in the top of the 9th before the inning began with Ezell grounding out.

Yeah, that didn't work. It's like trying to leave your dogs at the kennel for a month ... sure, you can go a couple days, maybe a week - then you find yourself beating on the door to get them back.

So after the bottom of the eighth my 6 year old asked how the game was going as I was listening to Phil while driving and doing errands down here in South LA. I told him we were down two runs. He sang the fight song to “make the players happy and bring them luck” in his words. Then after taking the lead in the top of the ninth and closing it down he was beaming that his singing the fight song worked. Hopefully we don’t need it going forward, but I’ll keep him on standby just in case. Glad to avoid the sweep and thanks for everyone’s work with the PBP thread.

ARK, you must have one heck of a lens to get that close all the way from Fayetteville ... great pics. I can hear DVH talking them up in his usual way.

Fun game, great 9th inning.

Hopefully we get Kosty back soon to help steady the bullpen.

Congratulations on a great win!

Here is a box score that I like
https://vucommodores.com/sidearmstats/baseball/summary

All the best the rest of the season.

Thank you so for some very good online play by play and commentary.

BaconTheSaddleAgain

Team has some serious grit and a short memory. Looks like we're going to be one game back after today. MSU is going to win and get to 10-5. Hopefully Kentucky holds on to beat Ole Miss.

We are some pieces away, mostly with consistency with Sat and Sun starting pitching. DVH says we're a year away from being back at peak form, but grit can win a lot of dang ballgames. And if you can manage to somehow get a national seed....you have a shot.

Denton was fun to watch - he got so excited when he got that last out.
Sure makes for a much nicer ride home. And washes away some of the bad taste of the other 2 games.

We showed heart, resolve and fight.
Just super proud of this team.

I had to back away after that homerun off of Cronin. Glad this team has more grit than I do. What a win!

huge win.

I do think LSU, @A&M, and MSU is a tougher stretch than @Vandy, @Auburn, and OM.   The other four probably wash out or get close.

Regardless... 9-6 is pretty good.  Especially if Wicklander can start next week and pitch like he has as a starter.

I'm shocked that we were able to get all 3 games in this weekend with no delays.  I would have placed a pretty hefty bet against that happening.

WPS.....gutsy comeback....this makes teams gel
agreed, these Hogs need to get a little "juicy" and this may have done the trick....especially being down to a heckuva team that just beat us 10 runs and were feeling real good about themselves...this may propel us to where we want to be in the NCAA tournament....still, a lot of work left to be done, a lot

We were 1 run from taking the series.

If you want to 'go there', Vandy was only twelve interceptions, 17 missed field-goals, eleven fumbles and 143 key missed tackles from a national championship in 2015. :)

Thanks for another great thread.  I was out and listened to a lot of this game on the radio and just got caught up here.  Not sure what we have or how it will develop as we get in to the part of the season that matters but I’m intrigued.  A team that will fight is a great thing...
