Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland
« on: April 10, 2019, 03:04:48 pm »

The documentary series, 'Dark Side of the Ring' premieres tonight (Wednesday, 10th) on Viceland channel at 9/8Central.  The first episode is about Macho Man and Elizabeth.  I have seen the third episode concerning the death of Bruiser Brody.  It was pretty good; didn't really have any new information, but was neat to hear Abby speak in his real voice and the disagreement between he and Tony Atlas over the aftermath.  The maker of the documentary was on Wrestling Observer Radio on Sports Byline radio network this afternoon.  Another one which stirred much interest is on Gino Hernandez and his death.  He did say they investigated the rumors of Gino's father being Paul Boesch and concluded he is not.  He did not mention if they will include anything about Gino and Farrah Fawcett.

Yes, it is.  The episode upcoming on 5/8 is supposed to be very good.  It is on Gino Hernandez's death and all the rumors about it.  I'd like to see the producers do similar documentaries to these with people from throughout the sports world.
