Is Austin actually going to play? Or is he a backup quarterback?

Expect that QBs helmet to fly off more in the future.  See him put it back on?  Itís a little too big to be putting it back on that easily.  Good grief!

Didn't take long for a bad replay decision.

(Watching the Memphis/Birmingham game).

I had seen a lot of people talking about Austin playing for Salt Lake and I was expecting that meant he was starting. Just saw a depth chart and he is 3rd string. Hopefully he can stick with it and get a shot and shine.

Sounds like he lost his job after the game.

Looks like AA is a backup. Josh Woodrum is the starter.

BTW, when will Arkansas make a deal with Starter, checked them out and I would love to buy one of those old school pull overs for the Hogs.

Amazing to me that Drew Morgan isn't on a team.
Every time I saw Edelman play I thought Drew could do something similar given the right opportunity.

True, a Hog logo would look good on something like this

Lineham before Allen? He'll never play at 3rd team quarterback.

Some good stories of players (and coaches) getting chances in the AAF they might not have had otherwise:

In the Memphis-Birmingham game earlier this week there were 5 former 5 star recruits.  The same number as the Super Bowl.  So there's that.

Well, this thread didn't age well.

Quote
The Alliance of American Footballís sudden decision to suspend operations this week forced newly unemployed players to pay out of pocket for flights home, according to a report.

The AAF, which has battled reports of financial issues since the start of its inaugural season, informed employees in a letter that they would no longer be employed as of Wednesday. While players and other personnel were paid through their last day of unemployment, they received no severance or reimbursement for final travel costs.
