I like M5, they have some killer tunes...."Makes Me Wonder" got my attention ten years ago.  And Levine has a great voice.  But last night's bit was pretty uninspired.

However, I am 100% in agreement that keeping it only about the music and staying out of this political statement BS was refreshing....like deciding not to do the press conference last week - kind of a big middle finger to the liberal Hollywood establishment without even saying a word.  Excellent.

I mostly liked the fact I could actually hear Levine's voice. He wasn't drowned out by the instruments.
And he sounded really good.

Viewership was down due to Brady fatigue!

I think the country would have tuned in to see a Brady/Brees show down.
Bet those numbers would have been pretty good.

i agree.

I think Goff and the Rams were exposed as still "too young" for this kind of pressure, Brees would have been a more entertaining and formidable foe.  still for the life of me can't figure out why Gurley didnt get the ball more he did not look injured at all.

Gurley’s knee will never be the same and I think it gave out.  Also have to remember without Kupp, Rams much easier to defend in passing game.  They weren’t a threat to make big plays.

Saints and KC would have been a record setter.

i don't buy that, you saw him run.  Hell according to nextgen stats he was the fastest player on the field topping out at 19.8 mph he ran fast and hard enough to break Patrick Chung's arm.

If he had a knee wouldn't it be apparent?

I don’t believe he could be the focus of the offense on it.  They limited his touches for a reason.

I dunno man, it would be like Brady only playing 10 snaps, but saying he is perfectly fine health wise.  We  may never know but it smells of a discipline action (probably stupid choice) or perhaps over protective ? again probably foolish considering its the super bowl.

I mean if turns out Gurley has major damage then that makes sense, what would make more sense is if he didn't play at all because why? if he has a major injury. I can also understand keeping it quiet before the game for strategy but the game is over now why continue with the "i am fine everything is fine" routine.

I agree, it may have been something as dumb as "We know the Pats are going to focus on him so we will be smarter and go to someone else"

Got to be something up with him they aren't disclosing to the public.

Yep a healthy Gurley would have made a big difference. Sad he hurt his knee.

Super Bowl = Super Bore.  KC/NO would have been better.
