I've always heard Lake Ricepig was private and by invitation only. Good to know you made the list in case I want to go sometime. Is it true he had those mountains hauled in to his place in NEA?

Yessir, and the water for the lake was carried in from Alaska in baskets on the heads of naked maidens during a lunar eclipse.

Ding ding ding....good job Boar.

This is at the Hyatt in Incline Village, NV. It's a 45 minute drive from the Reno airport.  One of the most beautiful places on earth.

Was the Hyatt the one with a small casino? The first time our group went to Lake Tahoe to ski, we stayed there. I remember one night we were playing roulette and the place had emptied except for the four of us. We were on a winning streak, I won all the chips they had of one color, and they had to give me another color. I think all the dealers worked on the slopes, and they were wanting to close up and go to sleep. It wasn't like we were breaking the bank, I think $1000 was all the chips they would have for each color. They got all the money back the next few days, anyway.

Real good steak house/restaurant that was just a walk down the parking lot/road, if I remember correctly.

Lone Eagle. You have to walk through/around it to get to that pier bar where I took that pic. It’s still good and Luke Stephenson still plays/sings there every Wed-Sun night.

Palm Island in the Grenadines
Kaleydo Villas on Gili T Island(Lombok, Indo near Bali)
Antigua-Hermitage Bay, Carlisle Bay, Jumby Bay resorts

By far the greatest luxury resort in an exotic location I've been to:

Misool Eco Resort in Raja Ampat, Indo(Tahiti/Bora Bora wishes it could be this awesome)

Paul Gauguin cruise.  Did it 2011 for 11 nights.  Bora Bora, Moorea, Aitutaki and Rarotonga (Cook Islands).

Or just an all-inclusive at Bora Bora and Moorea.  Did that in 2010.

Went through there last Friday. Siri had me get off in Brinkley and cross the river in Helena. I came back through Greenville and Pine Bluff. Someone definitely forgot their deodorant around PB.

My only regret is that I didn’t plan it farther in advance, stay a day longer and do maybe three classes.....With some spa time mixed in.

Can’t wait to do it again!

Should have jumped in and got a better look.

We were snorkeling in Honduras a few years back and had an encounter.  Everyone flipped out when the snorkel guide said shark, heck we were way out in the water on a reef and the boat was probably 200-300 yards away, I was like well Im either going to get eaten or gone look.  So I just watched and went down with the guide (figuring he wouldn't go to danger).  he went to the bottom and played with the shark, came back up and said it was a bull shark.  He was just making the panic worse.  Later I come to find out it was a nurse shark which is harmless.   he had the group including my wife trying to run on water.

If not too late, I would recommend at least taking a look at Jade Mountain Resort in St. Lucia.  It was very nice.  They pick you up at the airport in a helicopter and fly you to the resort.  Your room is built into the side of the mountain overlooking the Caribbean Sea.  It is an open air room with a pool inside our room, etc.  Very nice private beaches with sailing, kayaks, snorkeling, scuba, fishing, etc.  Very nice and would make for a great honeymoon, in my opinion.

I looked in to this place a lot when we were searching.  How did you like the open room when it came to sleeping climate?

We liked it.  My wife really liked it.  You have ceiling fans to circulate the air.  You also have the netting over and around the bed.  Very quiet and even though it is open air, it feels very secluded.  We were overlooking the Pitons so unless someone hiked up the mountain and had a telescope, we were safe from being observed.

Their attention to customer service and detail was remarkable.

We were just worried about it being humid and sticky while trying to sleep.  Or to warm.

I am glad you mentioned that concern.  It is important to point out that we were there during the month of April, so keep that mind.  I do not know what it would be like other times of the year.  You will want to use the multiple ceiling fans in the room (it is a huge room).  I would definitely research the room comfort for different months of the year.

For what it is worth, here are the pros/cons in my opinion (actually my wife is looking over my shoulder so it is more her opinion):

PROS
* you will not forget this place.  It is one of a kind in terms of privacy, location and customer service
* multiple beaches are excellent
* things to do (if you like water activities) are endless
* infinity pools are outstanding, and I am not much of a pool person.  We used it a lot while in the room.  They are huge as well.  I am not sure if all rooms have them, but it is very nice.
* ownership of the hotel will take you on personal tours of the island as well as bring in "experts" from chocolate making, cooking, basket making, etc if you so desire to learn (I did not, but my wife did).

CONS
* do not go here if you like shopping, tourism activity, or indoor entertainment like shows
* be prepared to walk up steep hills (this was actually a pro for us, but will likely be a con for others)
* bugs - you will definitely want to use the netting when you sleep at night
* bathroom - you better like the person you are with because it is only hidden by a 3/4 wall.  You will not be truly separated from each other.

I have a friend who has been on 2-3 river cruises and loves them.  We had almost decided that's what we wanted to do next but then I started watching the AWE Channel and they had several different river cruises in Europe and I think we've changed our minds.  Not sure it fits what we enjoy doing but that's just us.

My honeymoons in October. Top 5 options are:
1. Greece
2. Turks & Caicos
3. Maldives
4. Hawaii
5. Lake Tahoe

Last two are 2 of my favorite places I've ever been, and 3 of the most luxurious International destinations. Getting there is half the battle, but I'll likely be booking the flights on miles, which helps the budget.

Pick someplace that neither of you have been to previously.  Lots of nice places out there.  Don't mix new memories with old ones.  You will appreciate it more later on.
