Players sitting out bowl games
« on: January 03, 2019, 07:00:43 pm »

How do you all feel about this?

I am personally not a fan.

Watching this Under Armour game made me think, why play in these games if they could ruin their chance at college. I ask this since these college players say a bowl game is so much risk. I get the millions of dollar thing, but isn't this hypocritical? I mean what if they pull a Lance Harbor?

I have no problem with it. Schools and the NCAA have made a ton of money off of these players and when the season is over then they should start looking out for themselves and getting prepared for the pros.

Bowl games are just a reward for the school and those players that have no chance at going pro.

Hard to be mad about it either way. The more you practice and play... the more likely for an injury. I think the more meaningful the game the more likely for the kid to play. Meaningless bowls are just that meaningless. But me it would be hard for me to let my state, teammates, and coaches down. But a lot easier to say when im not guaranteed to be a first round pick in the NFL draft..lol
