Veteran guard Dazon Ingram is leaving Bama

Quote
Dazon Ingram entered the NCAA transfer portal Monday afternoon, according to a source.

Ingram averaged 7.1 points per game as a redshirt junior for the Crimson Tide last season. The Theodore native started 93 games in his four years at Alabama, including 19 last year.

Sources: Florida sophomore wing Deaundrae Ballard is transferring. Averaged 4.6 PPG last season.

Thought he would get a shot in 2020 with K. Allen graduating.

Bruce Pearl: ‘I could see us signing a grad transfer.’

Quote
Tigers are set to add five freshmen next year, and appear to be in the market for a graduate transfer player.

A grad transfer is a player who has graduated from a school, but still has a full year of eligibility remaining. That means they are immediately eligible to play.

“You’ve got to have a real need,” said head coach Bruce Pearl. “It’s their last go-around. And so what you typically will do is you’ll look for places on your roster where you’re losing a lot and you need to be able to replace. ... You’ve also got to be mindful of the guys that are returning, knowing that they’ve paid their dues and making sure they know you still have the confidence in them to be right and ready.”

Pearl said he said he could see Auburn signing a graduate transfer for the 2019-2020 season, though didn’t say where he believes the need arises. A quick look at the roster, though, and it’s clear where those needs lie.
