Chase Harrell, are we expecting big things?
« on: August 29, 2018, 10:48:50 am »

https://247sports.com/college/arkansas/Article/Arkansas-Razorbacks-football-depth-chart-wide-receiver-Chase-Harrell-121105977/

Craddock seems to like him.  Jred, Pettway, Nance and Herrell are my predications for most PT among receivers.

WR was a deep position from the jump.  It may not be ideally what Morris and Craddock wanted.  I just can't see them bringing in this kid unless they think he can have an impact.  There were certainly not depth concerns.  I hope to see Jackson and Jones get some run too.

I sure hope they get Pettways head in it 110% of the time.  It seems as if last year he was taking plays off (so was the coaching staff though) and he was just not all in, effort wise at least.

I have been extremely high on this guy since his recruitment.

With all that said, I don't think Jones can be kept off the field.  I think his talent will force him to edge his way in the top 5 or so rotation of WR's.

This offense will be such a weird experience for all of us. With all the vertical concepts and different looks with the “2-man” moving around and playing in the backfield at times, there’s going to be a lot of guys rotating in and out.

Deon Stewart must be electric in practice.

I think we would be pretty happy if he contributed a 20 / 300 / 4 statline on the season. In other words, productive depth.

Obviously we need to find a couple 750+ yard type WRs to step up and be the big threats and if that is him well great, but for a big body transfer even if if he is just a matchup problem in the RZ and on 3rd down, you take it.

That explains why my mobile phone was frozen on this thread since 7:30 or 8:00 last night. I was wondering if it was my phone.

What is Harrel's number?  I didn't see him listed on the team roster.  I didn't see Preston Stafford (second Kicker on the depth chart) listed either if anyone knows his number.

I found Harrell's number in a KFSM news article.  He is number 14

Found Stafford on Whole Hog Sports roster listing - He is number 83

Thank's for fixing it. I couldn't even get into the thread to fix it after I attempted to embed it.

He's nothing like Adams or Wright, he's a tall WR you throw the ball up to.

Def need one like this to stretch the field. Maybe J Jones. DB’s like nothing more then to be able to line up on a guy they know can’t beat them deep.

I bet he is behind mike woods after his suspension is up. Literally never heard his name mentioned once by this staff.

I picture J Barnes as being more like Adams. I’ve been very excited about him but don’t see him mentioned much. Hope he gets a chance to make some plays today.

Can’t believe I just said that. Today. It’s actually here. It’s GAME DAY!

Bret Bielema sucked the fun out of Razorback football for me. The past year and a half I would actually not watch games. Wasn’t keeping up with recruiting which is very rare for me. Since the day we hired Chad Morris I have been ready for this day and it’s here.

I'll take all these types we can get on the field at once.

Need those types of receivers too if you want to win at a high level.

You didn't like Drew Morgon?

I remember Jerry Rice being pretty good too.    ;)

I like his size.  I think all the receivers will get plenty of chances in this offense, even if on the 3 deep.

Harrell and Pettway are both big muscular and fairly fast. They will have to be respected come SEC play.
