College football bowl projections:

CFP
Cotton: Bama v. Michigan

Selection Committee Bowl Games
Sugar: UGa v. OU  (You can't spell Sugar without "U-G-A")

Fiesta: LSU v. UCF

Peach: UK v. WVU

Not long ago, I was expecting to need six teams with 5-7 records to fill the bowls.  Now, I am now projecting all 78 bowl slots to be filled with teams that are 6-6 or better and have two teams to spare.  The teams that I am projecting to be bowl eligible, but left out, are Coastal Carolina and Wyoming. There are currently 48 bowl-eligible teams.

And the rest
Citrus: Florida v. Wisconsin

Outback: MissSt. v. MichSt.

TaxSlayer: A&M v. Northwestern

Liberty: South Carolina v. Baylor

Music City: Mizzou v. BC

Texas: Auburn v. TTech

Bowls with SEC Tie-Ins not projected to have an SEC rep:

Park Belk

Independence

Birmingham

SEC Teams not projected/allowed to go a bowl: Ole Miss, Vandy, Tennessee, Arkansas

College football bowl projections: Florida's comeback pushes Gators into New Year's Six fray

Combined with an awful loss for Kentucky, the SEC East is shaking up the New Year's Six bowl games

Cotton Bowl  Bama v. Michigan

Note: Palm wants Michigan and Notre Dame in the mix bad

Selection committee bowl games (honoring the SEC)

Sugar  UGa v. OU  (You can't spell Sugar without "U-G-A")

Fiesta  UF v. UCF  (for the championship of Florida played in Arizona)

Peach  LSU v. WVU

Quote
It was a relatively easy week for the projected College Football Playoff teams.  All four were favored by at least 17 points, and not surprisingly, none were threatened. Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa did not play in the fourth quarter against Mississippi State after reaggravating his injured right knee.  The Crimson Tide probably won't need him against The Citadel this week, which is part of the annual SEC November Sabbatical.  Eight SEC teams will play nonconference games next week, three of which will be against FCS schools.  All eight figure to be heavily favored with the possible exception of Texas A&M, which will play 9-1 UAB.

Kentucky needs a break after suffering a second straight loss.  The Wildcats lost at Tennessee 24-7 and have dropped out of the New Year's Six bowl game projections. UK has been replaced by Florida, which fought off South Carolina on Saturday. The Gators may see this as a mixed blessing. I am projecting them to face UCF in the Fiesta Bowl.

And the rest
Citrus:     UK v. PennSt

Outback: MissSt. v. MichSt.

TaxSlayer: A&M v. Wisconsin

Liberty: South Carolina v. Baylor

Music City: Mizzou v. BC

Texas: Auburn v. TTech

Bowls with SEC Tie-Ins not projected to have an SEC rep:

Park Belk

Independence

Birmingham

SEC Teams not projected/allowed to go a bowl: Tennessee, Ole Miss, Vandy, Arkansas

Would not count Tennessee out.  Park Belk would have SEC representation.  Vandy has a chance.

With Missouri’s entry into the CFP Top 25, the SEC becomes the first conference to ever place eight teams in the CFP Poll. Finished the regular season with four teams in the Top 10.
