They have Mitch Mustain as the 5th best player on the team, better than Keith Jackson, Freddie Fairchild and Peyton Hillis.  And I thought we were being optimistic about his play.....

Same preview, nothing new

http://collegefootballnews.com/http://

I thought the in depth previews of the individual offensive and defensive unts were new.

At least they were new to me.

Ah well.

Hope we see more of the same from D-Mac this season.  He is a hoss.  We just need an improved passing game to keep defenses from putting 9 guys in the box.

Who's the best back in the SEC this year?

http://collegefootballnews.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=28672

most say Mcfadden but they throw in a few other names

One of the Tuesday Questions was, does Arkansas have a chance to beat USC?

That's sort of a chickensh*t answer.  Yes they do, but it won't happen.  I guess they're covered either way, right?

It's nice seeing our running back rating at 10...

However, it is depressing to read that our passing game was dead last.  Hopefully that will change this year.

How many days until kick-off again?

Actually a more bs statement is

"Arkansas isn’t going to win, but things will be looking up if it can pull off a close call like the 22-20 loss to Texas in 2004. "

Yeah things were really great that year when we finished 5-6.

The fans may be the difference maker in this game.  Pac-10 away venues have nowhere near the hostility of the SEC.  This crowd has to be bigger better stronger than the crowd for that Texas game.  You pack 70,000 drunk arkies in that stadium and it may be the difference maker.  We are expecting alot from this team but need to give it back 10 fold, and stay in it til the bitter end, even if USC goes up 21-0 just stomp yell and cuss some more, and in the end say "Shove it up your A$$ CFN"

I agree on the importance of the crowd, and it should be one of the best (if not the best) ever at RRS.

If it's even remotely close to texass in '03 then the crowd will play its' part.  texass in '03 is the loudest I've ever heard RRS.

Ive heard people say its not going to be as loud as Texas 04 because its Texas. I completely beg to differ.

First game of the year agaisnt college football's best program and a team that embarrassed us the last time out?

Its might exceed Texas 04 depending on what happens in the game.

Add to that the most highly anticipated season since who knows when, and I think we'll have an atmosphere that trumps '04 Tejas!   IT WILL BE ELECTRIC!!!  Can you imagine if we could stuff them 3 & out on the first series, with maybe a big hit on Booty!  That stadium will go nuts!  Then drive it straight down the field, and bury one down their throats!   Man, I can't wait...  Anything's possible!
