Okay, does the SEC getting four teams is the sweet sixteen (close second to ACC wth five) indicate the SEC is now a powerhouse conference? SIAP

The SEC is back as a dominant conference in basketball.

Just in time for MA to put together another class that isn't any good.

Will take a step back next year. A lot of new coaches and new rosters. Familiar faces will be gone from other programs.

Too soon to say. 4 teams in sweet 16 is impressive though.

Tenn really, really upgraded.
Miss St upgraded.
Auburn upgraded.

FL downgraded in a big way from Billy D and they still own the Hogs.
UK is UK, always good.
S Carolina is stagnant and going nowhere, like Arkansas at the moment.

I honestly don't think GA and Ole Miss upgraded that much from Fox and Kennedy, respectively.

A lot will depend on the new hires at Vandy, AL, and T A&M

Those 3 schools make good hires and the SEC's gonna real tough, real quick...

AL has a history of hiring crappy coaches post-Wimp Sanderson though..... but I expect Bama will swing for the fences and try to make a homerun hire this time around. Rick Pitino to Bama? Don't be shocked if it happens.

While wimp Sanderson's record is significantly better than say CMA's record at Arkansas (NCAA tourney), it's not exactly like he was a great coach. Sweet 16 is the best he ever did.

Of course, Alabama has never even made a Final Four in it's entire history.
