Don't be counting your chickens before they hatch. If a change is made then Musselman could likely be the #1 choice along with Sampson.

Lol ....like isn't counting chickens before the eggs hatch saying it's going to be musselman?

Musselman will be a disaster. Been to the tournament 3 times with a good seed and has been as first round exit twice now.

So he has a better record after 4 years than Anderson has after 8 years.

Top 25 rankings and national tv tilts are thing of past without those 10-0 private school wins in swc that we dont get in sec.  After Corliss and Scotty, Arkansas and Nolan won no sec west or sec titles.  Mike win two if keeping score still.  As long as we take the secís money, we have no incentive to win.  We used to have to have good football and hoops in swc to pay the bills.  Now with abundant funds, the only two big revenue sports are losing.  Once one and done ends, Hogs will get more talent as blue bloods will no longer have room for all the bluechippers.  Nolan and Eddie wouldnt have succeeded in one and done circumvention of 13 scholarship rule that enabled Eddie to compete with the uclaís and kentuckyís.
What in the He// are you smoking? Iím glad thru whatever hallucinogen it is you can see into the future and interpret the past as have never been seen before.
Coaching and the triplets allowed Sutton to compete with the blue bloods.
Of course when you can actually coach and recruit great players, it helps. We have neither!

He stays, anyone thinking anything different is delusional.  Just not happening people!  There is absolutely no justification for making a change.  Just because you donít like a guy doesnít get him fired.

Iíve not seen a single post from anyone who says they dislike Mike Anderson. Heís not getting it done from the standpoint of getting us up to and keeping us relevant.

Why do you want to settle for 1st round SEC exits and 2nd round NIT exits? Did you get participation trophies as a kid?

They've been 7-seed twice and a 12 once in those 3 seasons. One Sweet 16. Mike has been a 5, 7 and 8. Zero Sweet 16s.

I've been so disinterested in college basketball for so long that I don't even recognize some of these coaches' names.

I know....I should get out more.  But when the Hogs suck, I don't really care about what everyone else is doing.

If you think more than 10 percent of us want him gone because we don't like him you are delusional. He has had his time and has failed to build a consistent winner, and the nucleus of this team coupled with what we are recruiting is not winning next year with this staff. Time to move on, and give someone else a shot.

We may be focused on the wrong questions.

Our BOT was pretty heavily involved in the dismissals of Jeff Long and Bret Bielema. I can see them not wanting that to become common practice, in reality or perception. We have heard that they would like for Hunter Yurachek to make this decision.

Does he have the support of the BOT regardless?

For that matter, where does our Chancellor, Joe Steinmetz, come down on this?

Even if everyone concerned tells HY they will support his decision, has that been communicated as unconditional, or is it more along the lines of ďitís your call, but you know what we prefer?Ē

CMA is a good man and a good coach. There are lots of good men and good coaches out there. As painful and disruptive as it will be, HY is going to have to decide if Arkansas Basketball needs to be Great Again. Thatís just the way it is!

When I hear the decision is solely on HY, I  tend to lean heavily to Mike Anderson's firing. MA is not Yurachek's guy. Florida let go of their football coach Jim McElwain due to the new AD Strickland not liking the man's resume.

Just because one's evaluation of Mike as a Coach is that he is not getting the job done, it does not mean they don't like him. I don't think he is going to be fired, but he can only get by for so long by flashing his championship ring.

Chain of command is something I doubt JFB was much concerned with.

If I am Steinmetz, I would certainly have a conversation with HY to figure out what his concerns are and what his plan is, from all angles. Maybe he has.

The lack of urgency by this coaching staff is unexplainable.
2016-2017 started SEC playb1-3
2017-2018 started 1-4
This year started 1-4

I'm sick of the lackadaisical attitude to start the season. Every game and moment matters. That's different players but the same type of start in the SEC. 3-11 the last three years. Unacceptable! I'm Mike biggest fan but his attitude about early season games in hurting the team. One more year to see if things will change.

Dumb.  Not your thought on what is happening but the scapegoat plan of changing assistants.  The Nutt Bus is back to running to take out assistants to save Mike.

And, I believe that Mike will refuse changes to coaching staff.  But, I would say that TPTB set the table for next year if he doesn't make coaching changes and there aren't improvements.

No, no more years. But alas, this coaching staff will be back next season but their seats will be burning white hot! There's a notable lack of urgency in every aspect of the program. Note the lack of urgency in finding Gafford's replacement. They knew he was gone after this season; should've had his replacement committed and signed this past Fall recruiting period. Nope, instead they're scrambling this spring looking at undersized mid-major level talents and juco rejects.

Itís very early to start thinking that could happen. That being said if we fail to make a bowl in football and the tournament in basketball people are not going to be happy at all. Both things could easily happen next season. That is when things will get really ugly on the Hill.

...and to complete my thought, this razorback team was only beaten soundly twice this year. My point being, it wasn't nearly as bad as the record indicates. A bounce here and there and we finish with a 24 or 25 win season! Even coach K of Duke needed a few extra seasons to get that winning machine firing on all eight. Patience I say. Patience and vigelence. Let's give this 2 more years. That makes it an even 10 and even if we don't turn into the next Duke, we will be that much more attractive to a quality coach who will surly think, "How patient these people are! They support their coach to the fullest!" it's a win-win if CMA stays!
thanks for posting Mike Anderson but shouldn't you be recruiting ?

I do.  If he keeps MA, most of know next year will be same song 9th verse.  It will get ugly next year and if we suck again in football which is a good possibility his seat will be hot.  All this sucking results in losing money and that when ADís get fired.

Mike's seat is already hot. He's gotta produce next year, and that means Sweet 16 at a minimum. At nearly 60 years of age, does Mike have the energy and passion to get next year's team there? I guess we'll see.

I disagree. I donít see a level of commitment to having a sweet 16 level program that would result in Mikeís dismissal if he doesnít achieve that next year.

This is different than Pelphrey or Heath.

Most everyone I know likes Anderson and wanted him to succeed here soooo bad.
Seems to me it may not be an easy decision for those with the power, either.

My logical and competitive head tells me a change should come, he's never going to get us to being relevant on a consistent basis, which is what we are capable of being with the right coach - but when I looked at him on the sidelines today, the thought of him being fired made me sad.
