Anyone had issue with “you won “ malware popups when open threads using your iPhone? I have tried suggestions to delete history and turn on popups block on my iPhone. That didn’t help. Anyone have another solution.

Started bad yesterday.  Tried removing cookies and deleting everything.  Ended up removing safari and downloading Firefox and it’s working again.

It would open a new windows that I won amazon gift card with every click, only on hogville website.

Nafunu32:

Yes. Started a few days ago and only on this forum. I’ve cleared history and cache. No clue what’s up. I did notice that after clearing everything, the link states the website isn’t “secure.”

My Problems started Friday. Same thing happening to me.

I don’t use “ad aware” so I can click on links so HV can pay for their expenses but will follow your advice later today. Thank you Jake.

Appreciate this problem being posted ParallaxPig.

HogCzar1:

Appears like it has infected this site. This doesn’t happen on any other websites currently. But, I have seen it before on other sites. Deleting cookies and refresh didn’t help as it just kept on coming up after removing cookies.

That’s it plus other similar variations.

Haha I've had this issue too.  1000% surprised to learn that hogville is the source of it.

I started having this problem last night.  Specifically on this site.  Pops up every time I click on a hyperlink.

PetrinoFan:

same issues. I stopped coming on here as much because of it.

NP.  I was getting the same pop up link as you, but it read a little different in the message.

Even clicking on a thread in MMqB or recruiting forum would open that pop up.  Frustrating.

Tyro3:

I have had my desktop with popups telling me my windows software is out of date, and can't get rid of the popups just by clicking on them, have had to ctl alt del,  and logoff to get them  to go away, Hogville is the only website I have issues with, this page can't be displayed notifications is an ongoing problem.

hog.goblin:

It happens on this site only for me, and only from the full desktop version (on my iPhone).  Doesn’t do it on the mobile version, which is fine except the inability to quote.

It is just this site. I have tested multiple IOS devices all with the issues.

Arkansas Hog in Dallas:

I had to install an adblocker on my phone, which seemed to work. Mine is called Adblock plus, and was free, so I recommend it

OinkinOregon:

It is something on the backend that an actual admin will have to resolve.

Lanny:

I've seen it and working on removing

The NewEra:

I had an issue just like this a year ago on my iPhone.  I can't remember exactly how I fixed it, but I found the process for removing it through a Google search.  The final solution is removing an app through the Setting Menu in the iPhone that otherwise won't allow itself to be deleted.  It somehow imbeds itself into the root IOS of the phone.
