Who has JSJ beaten at the college level?

He's also never lost a game as a starter on the hill.... It's all about perspective.

Burks needs to be in the wildcat.

I will pass that on to Coach.

If the roster that Bobby left was better than what he found (it wasnt) then why did Bret have to start so many true freshmen?

John L was inly here one year, si he couldnt have run off off all of Bobbys bench.

Because the roster Bielema took over wasn't the one that Petrino left when fired. That 2012 roster still had several players from those 2010/2011 teams that did so well. There was virtually nobody on the 2013 roster that was in any way shape or form part of that previous success save for basically Swanson and Hocker. Even Chris Smith was largely a backup during those times behind Bequette and Wright in 2011.

Now, Petrino didn't leave a roster set up for long term success as evidences by how little talent there was once those last players left and how few Petrino players were even playing by year 2 of Bielema. But yeah, that 2012 team had a lot more talent than the 2008 (sans true freshmen as those weren't inherited) did.

If Bret left us better than than what HE found, why did we have so many scholarship QBs and none if them ready/able to play SEC ball?

Do you not remember what Bielema inherited at QB? He was arguably only given one scholarship at QB since the other was playing WR the season before. Sure, Bielema was eventually able to develop Brandon Allen into an NFL quarterback, but he was not playing at an NFL level at all. Morris inherited Cole Kelley who had more experience than BA and objectively played way better in 2017 as a RsFr than Allen did in 2012 as a RsFr. Not to mention Ty Storey played better here in 2018 than BA played in 2013. So yeah, as bad as it may be to admit it, he did in fact leave the QB position better than he found it.

(in fairness....the number of Olinemen we lost was unnatural)

Not to mention, Bielema was forced to start TWO true freshmen on the OL and a walk-on at left tackle due to the terrible quality of OL that Petrino left.

Morris had some terrible luck with injuries and players leaving once he took over and even then, only had to start a freshmen for a few weeks before being able to rely again entirely on Bielema players. Heck, in year 2 of Bielema, 3 of the 5 starters were pure Bielema recruits. In year 2 of Morris, there might be one Morris starter.

We were/are thin all over.

We are now after half the team left after Morris was hired. Key word, after. If I leave you with 5 days worth of food and water, and you decide that oatmeal and spam aren't really your jam and so you toss them overboard, it's not really my fault now that you only have 3 days of supplies.

No. Neither of those guys improved our program.

Both of those guys were fired with better rosters than what they inherited which was what I was arguing.

Is our program overall better, that's a different story and harder to argue that they left the program overall in better shape. But specifically the rosters, yes, those are in better shape.

I cant control what Hogville thinks.

But two more classes like 2019, WILL be a real and substantial improvement to our program.

A la Danny Ford.

No you can't, but you certainly are mirroring it with your posts. For example, Bielema inherited JWill, Nate Holmes, and Kody Walker at RB and left Whaley, Maleek Williams, Chase Hayden, and TJ Hammonds. That's a pretty huge upgrade in quality depth and talent. But, because of bad coaching, you act like we were left worse off player wise.

If Morris ends up being a bad coach as well but pulls in some more 2019 level recruiting classes, based on how you have reacted in the recent past, I can assume that you will also forget the level of quality recruits pulled in by Morris and forget that he recruited better than his predecessor.

Petrino upped our recruiting compared to what Nutt had done before and gave us a roster that wasn't reliant on just a couple studs surrounded by a bunch of warm bodies. Bielema took Petrino's recruiting and bumped it up a notch even further. Morris is now taking the recruiting to another step altogether.

Ok, we’ll check back in 4 years.
won't have to. you'll see him on that field within 18 months. i got no problem with anything you said except you literally shut down a guy looking for hope with a know-it-all-negahog reply. I wanted a true evaluation to be heard.

RME is just a bad poster with an alcohol problem randomly darn posting to and fro. Both of y'all shouldnt be so negative in the recruiting forum.

He'll play, probably start before it's all said and down. Certainly more than on special teams.

Ok, we’ll check back in 4 years.

How bad is a 40 year old Dirk? Has anyone really watched him during a game? Is there a full game on the net of Conner playing, no highlights please.

This is a good one at the end of the season when Vanover was starting to put it together.

With me it is money and time.
I live 5 hours away, and at my age, I must spent the night  after the game.
So if you add the total cost for two, tickets, room, food, gas, that is just to much.
Also, these AM start times don't help.
How about some one offering a package deal like Vegas does?

Things I noticed on 1st and 2nd team lists:

Maldonado over Goodheart is curious (especially when you look at SEC only stats - only HR go Maldonado's way)
Vandy only had its closer on the 1st or 2nd team list (no starting pitching - though one made freshman list)
9 teams had a player on the 1st or 2nd team lists
6 Arkansas players were thought to be one of the best 2 players at their position (Vandy 4, Miss State 4)

Kyle Porter. Devin White. Mike Norvell.

God knows how many others.

smfh. Bookmarked.
Kyle Porter? TF you mention THAT guy? I certainly never said anything about that bum.

Devin White, aw, Devin White. The guy Bert wanted to piss away his career as a RB, WHICH he almost did. Best move ever for Devin White- Best Linebacker in the WORLD this year.

Like I said earlier, lay off the sauce. You need some AA.
