The SEC has traditionally been at or near the top of the college football landscape.  In the first week, that reputation may have taken a bit of a hit.  There has been an ongoing argument about whether Morris faces a tougher SEC, or a weaker SEC compared to other recent coaches.  Which Arkansas coach do you think faced the toughest SEC landscape and why?

How long can we play two quarterbacks (and two punters for that matter)? As the old saying goes "if you have two QBs you dont have one".

Seems to me there are more talented players behind Hicks and I see young successful QBs all over the country.

Is Joe Craddock in over his head? If so, why hasn't Morris taken over the play calling?

How do you think our defense matches up with the Ole Miss offense.

Keep in mind that Ask Mike runs every Monday. A question like this will be dated by then.

What happened to the Chucky doll that was so prominently displayed at SEC Media Days this year?
Did someone finally step up and tell them it was neither a good look nor a good idea?

How much do you think the win over Ole Miss means to the program? Did the victory make you look at the team any differently? (Yes, I am counting on a win!!!)

How would you assess the talent level of the 2020 recruiting class so far?  Are we doing better, about the same, or not quite as good as last year?

If there is some natural positive progression as the 2019 season goes along, and Morris & Co can continue to sign Top 25 recruiting classes, where do you see the Razorback program in three years (IF Morris is still the head coach)?  ???

That is perfectly fine. However questions not directly related to the game each week are welcome. The Internet version of Ask Mike runs 10 minutes or so. I don't think I'm particularly long winded so I need lots of questions. ;D

Now that the Ole Miss game is over, when is the next best chance to win a conference game  this year?

after the game last night. my dad & i agreed, We came to the conclusion that we have no idea, how the razorbacks are going to get out of this.
it is starting to look like the basketball program for the last 20 years. a bad culture got into the program during the heath era, and no coach came in a cleaned it out until musselman did this year.

this program needed  a no nonsense coach, to clean out the program not an "i am just a high school coach",  spending a year playing guys who "give us the best chance to win" even though they were not bought in was a bad way to start.

mike, what is your opinion?

After watching 14 games in Chad Morris era, what do you think of the offensive play calling?

Mike, will Arkansas choose to run a vanilla offense against Colorado State to not show too much to future SEC competition and protect the quarterbacks?

Hi Mike.
I believe our D is headed in the right direction but what adjustments if any are availiable to stop teams from running up the middle for long yardage like Ole Miss did last night? I'm afraid if we load up the box our weakness in the secondary will be exposed even greater. Should we rely more on screen passes to aid Starkle or Hicks?

Oh great one, do you feel we got way too cute with our play calling in Oxford? Will the peasants take to the streets if Nick Starkel doesn't start game three?

Mike our snaps are slow and hang in the air like a pooch punt.  Timing is off on every play.  Should Morris consider going under center?

As a program we are at the lowest point in our history. How did we get here and what can be done to get us out?

Why does the deep snapper get the ball faster to our punter than our center does to our qb?

Have I just missed this or has Coach Bore-us addressed this?

Will Coach Morris finally accept responsibility for starting the wrong QB for the Ole Miss game, and what is the likelihood that he will shift gears and give the starting spot to Mr. Starkel?

Who is really in charge of the offense?  Is Morris opposed to calling his own plays and running the offense like Lincoln Riley or even Gus this year?  Or, is his infatuation with following the Clemson plan controlling his vision of a head coach - a Dabo style CEO?

Mike, all offseason we were told by the coaching staff and the media that the running back room was deep and talented. Boyd appears to be the only back worth his salt though. Every time we play Whaley and Hayden, we are lucky to get 3 yards. This was also a theme from last year. What had everyone convinced that this group was one of the better groups on the team? Thanks.

Most fans focus on the QB, RB's, and WR's  but would you agree that our offense will only be as good as our Offensive Line?

IF everyone has said how bad Ole Miss this year is there a chance the HOGS win and SEC game.  I see UK's QB got hurt and is out for the season.

Ask him about the running back tipping off the play by where he lines up, like the announcers discussed during the game.

Obviously, I'm not Mike.  But I just got through watching Morris' Press Conference today and he was asked this question.  He said he wasn't ready at this time and it was the coaches' responsibility to continue to coach him up and get him prepared.  He did not commit to playing him - or not - later this season.

I see him getting reps in four games later this season and redshirting

Barring injury (and RB is always a position where injuries can and do happen), I wouldn't be surprised if he plays in less than 4 games.  But he will redshirt unless we get more than 1 serious injury at RB (don't forget that we get Hammonds back in a couple of weeks).

True but Whaley and Hayden have been underwhelming so far and we are going to need production from the RBís other than Boyd.

Mike, Iím asking you to be clairvoyant and tell me how worried we should be if such a scenario plays out: Morris is fired after year three and leaves behind three QBs ó Jefferson, Jones, and Chandler. We can rightly assume Chandler would transfer, which would only leave Jefferson and Jones...that is, if Jefferson stays once Chandler arrives. Seems like a precarious situation to me; what say you?

True but Whaley and Hayden have been underwhelming so far and we are going to need production from the RBís other than Boyd.

They key is when will Spivey be "game ready" in the eyes of the coaches?  And then, when will he be a better alternative than the 4 mentioned above?

Keep in mind - and many don't think of this when clamoring for a young RB to play - the RB's ability to understand and execute pass blocking is at least as important as his ability to tote the rock.  Many a QB has been splattered because a young RB lined up in the wrong place, or failed to pick up the right man in a blitz situation.

At some point, I DO expect to see him in a game or two.  But I really don't expect him to be much of a factor this season - again, barring injuries to those ahead of him.  And in the longer run (this being a season where we aren't going anywhere anyhow), we'll probably be better off for it.
