Justice for QB.

With these weapons coming in, he’d be a nightmare for opposing defenses.

He could probably play quarterback. Kyler Murray is only 5-11 so why not? If he isn't going to be a starter on the football team or at least a significant contributor as a freshman, I'd rather see him stick with basketball.

Doesn’t have the arm to play qb in the sec.  I would love to see him on the field in some capacity though.

Murray is more like 5’9” so you are correct.  Hill could be a great change of pace QB, especially if we don’t get another Grad transfer.  He would disappear behind our line and be a nightmare for other teams on an RPO.  I don’t think he is THE QB that we ultimately need but he could be a great weapon at times against certain teams and in certain situations.

tunnel screen, quick slants along with RPO would make him deadly, but I think if nothing else a slot back or wild hog, speed kills .

Have we completely forgotten about KJ Jefferson? A guy who was actually recruited to play QB?

At some point, "competition" turns into spreading reps far too thin between way too many quarterbacks.

Unless something goes wrong or he fails to develop, KJ is the QB of the future and we need to bring him along slowly and properly.  Sure we can get him some of that 4 game PT this year just so he can see college speed but we need to be taking all due care to have him ready by 2020 or 2021 and not rush him anymore than absolutely necessary.

Stupid question time.  If he's on a basketball scholarship and plays football, won't that cost us a football scholarship if he actually plays in a football game?

Yes, but there are plenty of schollies being wasted on dead weight from Bert's holdovers. Just free up one of those.

This kid is lightning in a bottle as a qb.  Just dynamite in the open field and throws a very accurate ball.  Kid is a legit dual threat qb IMO.  Size hurts him some but it also gives him a tremendous advantage on broken plays.  Definitely a playmaker on offense.

I'm not knocking the kid, but c'mon now.

If Justice Hill was from somewhere like Missouri, and this board got wind that he was meeting with Morris (or if we offered him), then looked at his size, offer lists, etc. we'd be wondering what the absolute hell was going on.

But since he's from Arkansas, he's the next big thing.

Was listening to DTS this afternoon.  I believe I heard Randy Rainwater say he received a text from Fitz Hill saying Justin did NOT meet with CCM today.  My sense was it is supposed to happen, but at a later date.

It's my understanding that Justice Hill has also played QB.  Noland isn't the only dual sport athlete to come to Arkansas.

A bit of jug-head levity should not be scorned in dismissive fashion.

It is my contention that I  am more to be pitied than ostracized and sanctioned.    8)

Excited for what? Dude probably isn't even gonna play football. Excited about the possibility of it happening?

The Landers Award recognizes the "top high school football player in the state." Lol, sure it does.

He's better than Treylon Burks and Hudson Henry?

Alright.

I'm not knocking Hill's ability. But there's a reason he was recruited to play basketball and a reason his football recruitment was essentially non-existent.

have watched them all and imo Hill was better than Hudson in person. Mainly because he makes a difference in all phases of the game. Imo second best player in the state behind Burks because they are both dynamic on both sides of the ball. And i have Henry right behind them. And that’s just based on high school. I think Henry is gonna be a stud in college. But Burks probably wins the Landers award if he doesn’t get hurt.

Treylon got injured early so he wouldn’t win but take Hudson away and PA would still be very good.  You take Justice away that team wouldn’t have gotten close to winning the state title.  Justice proved he deserved to win it every Friday night and in the state title game.

Why was his football recruiting essentially non-existent, then? If he's just so incredibly good, why weren't college coaches all over him?

We got the QB the staff wanted and the guy they were on from day one. Do you guys in here know better than college football coaches?

as a college prospect Burks and Henry have higher ceilings easily IMO. Mainly because of size. But as far as overall high school players Burks and Hill were better jmo.  Hills football recruiting probably suffered because he was always gonna play basketball for the university of Arkansas.

His football recruiting was nonexistant due to his being a SOLID committment to the Hogs in basketball for over a year.  Schools knew he was coming to Arkansas to play basketball and didn't waste their time for that reason.  I have no idea if he will play football for the Hogs or not, but it won't be because he doesn't have the talent to play SEC  level football.
