40 - 15 to End the Game

All the momentum in the world after Bailey's dunk made it 50 - 37... then an absolutely epic collapse.

It's like we were dominating through 6 rounds then stood there and got pounded time after time the rest of the match.

Since there is no individual bashing, I'll just say there was a certain aspect to the game that was an embarrassment to the program.

SC was dead in the water and then we left the 3-point line wide open like we always do and the momentum completely changed.  We have no real offense to settle it down and get a bucket.

Yeah how did that happen

When the game got close South Carolina went inside and we jacked threes (6-22). We can't depend on hitting 13 Threes like we did the LSU game. It is not a long term strategy.

Brought in Gafford, he went out with his third foul and we went up 13, brought him back in the last 10 8 minutes and SCAR went on a huge run.

Just no excuse really. A complete mental breakdown on both sides of the court. At least baseball starts soon. That's the only consolation I can find right now.

Absolutely on the shoulders of two players. One who wouldn't pass and the other who more pissed at his HC then he was himself. This loss will sting for a long time.

It would be a real challenge at this point to rank all the epic collapses basketball and football have had in recent memory.

I knew the four game win streak was a mirage. The fact that we barely beat a winless in SEC Vanderbilt team at home should have raised enough eyebrows. The worst is yet to come for this squad with what's left on our schedule. The stubbornness of this fanbase needs to be put aside and send Mike on his way. Outcoached again.

Mike's just gotta get his players in. Year 10 is the one!

His poor conditioning is his fault. No reason he should be that gassed playing such few minutes

CMA can't shoot free throws either. Or play defense. Or not shoot early bad threes. Or drive to basket and throw up desperation shot because everyone stands outside watching. Or block out. Not his fault.

The offensive lapses that we have get all the attention, but with this team in particular it's the defensive lapses that kill them. About 20 minutes today the defensive intensity and communication was a winning effort. The rest it was not, SC is not very good offensively but they put up 77. This is not an average to good offensive team that we have, they must win with defense and playing smart and sound basketball. They have been able to survive a few games playing less than smart, but today they could not.
This could have been the nail in the ncaa coffin, this was a win they had to have to offset some of the bad home losses.

Basic fundamental basketball hasnít been our strength for 8 years now.

Spot on.  And folks are worried about him jumping to the NBA.  He wouldn't last 3 minutes in a league of men.

If we want to point fingers, I noticed some really bad defense by Joe in the second half.

Keyshawn took a nice step back as far as his development today as well.

It is very noticeable how often that he gets wore down even in games that he does not play any extra minutes.

i am not going to bash the team or coach anymore its just too obvious.

The one thing that seems to be consistent with this team is we can play some great stretches of basketball. But my god the dry spells with this team are worse than any hog team i have seen in a long time. no lead is safe with this team. We give up some double digit leads in no time.

All due respect to Thunder Dan but Bailey's dunk was the dunk of the year so far. Over the big 6'10 white boy.

I've been a big Hog basketball fan since the Eddie Sutton era and I have never seen a game where an Arkansas team collapsed that badly after having a comfortable lead in the second half. I'm not gonna lay the blame anywhere in particular but that was a complete collapse and it's inexcusable.

Nearly every time he goes up against another big man with any real size, he ends up like that.  He doesn't have the strength or conditioning to handle it, and it really makes no sense the way we see he is capable of running up and down the court in most games.  He'll probably get drafted high, based on potential alone, but I really think he needs to come back for at least one more year to get stronger and work on his conditioning, if he want to have a long career in the league.

When you leave a 3 point shooter so open that he can eat a sandwich before he launches not once, but twice, and let him singlehandedly energize a team and an arena, along with letting him and Bryant have career days, you get 15-40.
