For Otto Porter. Maybe now heíll finally get the time on the court he deserves

I think getting out of the mess that is the Bulls is best for Bobby.

Nice, Wizards are 10th in the East at the moment. That's 3.5 games back of 8th with 29 to go. Bobby may see playoff action.

Uh no LOL. Wizards are doing this to tank with John Wall out for 2 years. This is great for Bobby though, no longer has to play behind Lauri and can get more minutes. Going to get paid this year or next for sure

Good for him. Any situation is better than the mess in Chicago.

Wizards wanted to clear Porter's ridiculous salary, and replace him with 1 year guys. They are now reporting interest in trading for Mike Conley & Mark Gasol. They are far too good to be tanking, and appear to still want to compete.  Get Conley & Gasol, and they are a Top 4 or 5 team in the East.

They aren't competing for darn with 40 million a year sitting on the sideline for the next two years. Feel bad for Bobby though, it seems like he loved Chicago and the fans loved him back. Sure he'll get more minutes and he had no future with the Bulls with Lauri there but I think he wanted to retire there

They better hurry up if they want those two guys. The clock is ticking. I live In a Memphis burb and the word is they want too much.

Read a lot of the twitter comments to the Bulls tweet about trading BP.  I'd say 90% or more of the responses were pro BP and couldn't believe the Bulls traded him.  Many called him the heart and soul of the team, one of the few players that wanted to be in Chicago and praised the effort that he gave.  They are really tired of the way the organization is being run.

The fan base was split on Bobby after the Mirotic incident. I'd even say the majority of the fans wanted Bobby to be traded instead of Mirotic. However, Bobby's drive, competitiveness, and work ethic won most of those fans back over. During the off-season, Bulls fans wanted management to lock Bobby down before he became a Restricted Free Agent. They didn't do that. Bobby could start at the 4 for about half the teams in the league, and wants to get paid as such. He would never start for the Bulls as long as they have Lauri and Wendell Carter, so the Bulls wanted to pay him backup money.

This is the best situation for Bobby. He will get the playing time at Washington, and probably start most games (maybe even as early as Saturday AT Chicago!)

This is basically a try out for him. He is a position of need, and the Wizards could decide to match whatever offer he goes out and gets this summer if they like his game. Everyone knows he can score the basketball - if he can flash some Defense, he won't have any problem getting the money he wants.

The NBA really hasn't been good since George Gervin, Larry Bird, and Magic Johnson.

Those above 3 knew how to play basketball.

Since the above 3 it has been just a bunch of showboaters who jack up 3 pointers and who try to dunk all the time.

Just because you haven't watched basketball since 1984, doesn't mean it hasn't been played.

I still watch the NBA some, but not as much as I used to.

Just not much fun watching a lot of travelling and watching not much defense.

Starting at the :27 mark Michael Jordan trying to guard George Gervin.

Gervin made it look effortless (even in jeans).
