We will be favored in every non conference game, we will be an underdog in every conference game.  Hopefully, we can steal one or two.

I think we'll end up being favored against MS St. by the time that game comes around. They will fall off tremendously from this past season.

Missouri is pretty much returning everyone besides their qb.
Losing 4 starters on each side of the ball.

3-9. . . And the Hogs lose for the 2nd year straight to Co St.  My honest prediction.

Predicted 4-8 this past season, and I'm often considered a pessimist among my alum friends.

3-9 Lose to W. Kentucky......I think we get owned by every SEC team.  Morris needs to have a great 2020.
Predicted 4-8 last year......never ever thought we would lose to a terrible CSU team or a FCS team at home.

Building it the right way is a common theme among coaches.  Our previous coach subscribed to this very theme.

It's definitely cliche and that (along with a 2-10 first season) is a valid reason to have some doubt.  However, Morris and his staff work noticeably much harder than the previous regime especially when it comes to recruiting.

And unlike the last guys, I think Morris has a better idea of what it takes to build success at Arkansas - capitalizing on it being THE program in the state, laying the footprint for recruiting in the state and our border states *cough, Texas, cough* rather than trying to spread ourselves all over the country, etc.

Obviously on-field success will determine how good or bad Morris is in the long run, but I like the energy he's brought into the program and into the locker room and I'm ready to see the improvement in year 2.

I'm just saying that's what coaches say. As fans we will mostly think the current coach will be different and his plan is THE plan. We will believe the things he says and does will get us to where we want to be. We will love little unique characteristics of this coach especially if they differ from the unsuccessful coach. Some will be skeptical and will be called to question when they haven't "bought in". Their view points will be met with vitriol. Then as the losses mount and the minority view becomes the majority and it becomes collectively acceptable to be critical of the current coach.

I actually did that to show how razor thin we were to having 3-4 more W's last season.

Which is reason to hope we could be better than expected... a ray of hope, yes...

I got burned really bad on my predictions for last year so Iím on the opposite end this year and will be ecstatic if Iím wrong again. We have a lot of really good talent coming in, but I realize most of those guys wonít start this year or even play, and like every recruiting class, a couple of these guys will probably never see the field. So with that, and knowing what we have coming back from last year I have very little optimism for 2019.

Aug. 31   Portland State (W)
Sept. 7   at Ole Miss (L)
Sept. 14   Colorado State (W)
Sept. 21   San Jose State (W)
Sept. 28   vs. Texas A&M (L)
Oct. 12   at Kentucky (L)
Oct. 19   Auburn (L)
Oct. 26   at Alabama (L)
Nov. 2   Mississippi State (L)
Nov. 9   Western Kentucky (W)
Nov. 23   at LSU (L)
Nov. 30   Missouri (L)

Overall record (4-8) SEC (0-8)

Iím not even convinced we win all of our non-conference games. Both Western Kentucky and Colorado State could give us trouble. I think we do win those games but Iím not willing to commit to a guaranteed win just yet. I am in a wait and see with how well this team vibes with Ben Hicks. He knows he offense but thereís 10 other guys on the field that still have to get up to speed and idk if we can get everyone on the same page yet. 2020 is the year we win more than 4 games I think.

Bama will be bama  that's a loss
aTm is building. That's a loss
ole ms, who knows.
Miss st lost alot of experience
Aubie needs a qb.
LSU is too strong for a very young hog team
Mizzou, might have Bryant but they lost alot.  Hogs are rolling by this point and hogs win.
Kaintuck is a toss up. Hogs have better young talent, kaintuck has been consistently better team.
I think hogs win out of conference games and beat 2 of ole ms,miss st or mizz

This is my opinion ALSO !   I expect us to upset the Zoo and Big Blue to finish 7-5

The opener should be an easy win.  After that any game could go either way.  1-11 to 3-9 is what I expect.

A 6-6 record isn't beyond the realm of possibility but this year's team will need to improve week to week to accomplish something close to that.

Probably 5-7 sweeping the non-conference schedule with a conference win.
If Hicks is a real upgrade and the o-line is a C instead of an F, 7-5.

Date   Opponent   Prediction
Aug. 31   Portland State 1-0
Sept. 7   at Ole Miss 1-1(lost 33 - 37)
Sept. 14   Colorado State 2-1 (lost 27 - 34)
Sept. 21   San Jose State 3-1
Sept. 28   vs. Texas A&M 4-1 (17-24)
Oct. 12   at Kentucky 4-2
Oct. 19   Auburn 4-3 (3-34)
Oct. 26   at Alabama 4-4 (31-65)
Nov. 2   Mississippi State 4-5 (6-52)
Nov. 9   Western Kentucky 5-5
Nov. 23   at LSU 5-6 (17-24)
Nov. 30   Missouri 5-7 (0-38)

This will be CCM'S 2nd year into a major rebuild, I will be satisfied with a 5 win season, I know that most of Hogville will find that unexceptable but that's 3 better than this past season.  Given the fact that all of these players coming in are freshmen I don't expect them to be world beaters, I do expect some better play from the players we have left over, but as I stated, I'll be satisfied with 5, but I'm hoping for 6 wins.   In year 3 is when I see us making a big difference.
