RC Thielemann   11 year NFL  Guard
Bobbie Williams 12 years NFL  Guard
Greg Koch         10 years NFL  Tackle
Steve Korte        10 years NFL  Guard
Travis Swanson   5 years NFL    Center
Glen Ray Hines    8 years NFL    Tackle

And of course Jason Peters with 15 years in the NFL!

Guys we have had some GREAT O'Linemen over the years.

No one gonna mention Pat Summerall as the punter? I know that Steve Cox may have been our best.

Shawn Andrews was a great NFL player and was all pro selection a couple times, but sadly his career was cut short by injuries. Was talented enough to be a future h.o.f. player had he been able to play long enough.

A preson's age will have a lot to do with selections.
Just look at the Quarterback position and names not mentioned
Quinn Grovey
Joe Ferguson
Bill Montgomery
Scott Bull
Scanlon
Calcagni
Stoerner
Then go back to
Marshall & Brittenum

Arkansas has had many really good QB's over the years. Other than DMac you can do some very similar picks with running backs as well as other positions.
Matt Jones was a running back who sometime threw
He is 4 to 6 on my list

I remembered Andrews leaving when he was a JR and did not play in bowl game because of sinus infection or something

I remember that he didn't play in the bowl game against Mizzou, and I seem to remember something about him being sick like you said, although there was speculation that he didn't play because it was known early that he was declaring for the draft. Not sure what the entire truth of the situation was.

What would your offensive look like if you had to create an All-Time Razorbacks team? Mine is:

QB: Matt Jones RYAN MALLETT
RB: Darren McFadden
RB: Felix Jones
FB: Peyton Hillis if there's a fullback set.

C: Jonathan Luigs TRAVIS SWANSON
LG: Brandon Burlsworth
RG: Leotis Harris FRANK RAGNOW
LT: Shawn Andrews
RT: Jason Peters
TE: Hunter Henry (DJ Williams in a double TE set)

WR: Anthony Lucas
WR: Cobi Hamilton JARIUS WRIGHT
WR: Lance Alworth.

I agree with you on most positions...made a few changes.

Jarius was good and reliable...but, Bobby Crockett was absolutely the best and most reliable...ask the great Texas defense of 1965.

Wright is 5th all time in the SEC in receiving yards ans #1 at Arkansas... so underrated as a razorback receiver.

QB has to be Malett, Montgomery,or Ferguson.  Can you imagine a passer such as one of those couple with great receivers and DMAC sitting there in the backfield?  I would take my chances with any of them all day long.  Unstoppable.

What I remember the most about Dicky Morton was watching his helmet fly off after met in the hole by a middle linebacker.  Think it was Iowa St. in 1973.

Seemed like his helmet went 20 feet in air and I think, OMG, he killed Dickey.  But Morton bounced up.

I was there and remember that.  I thought Morton's skull was crushed.

That was the game we lined up on the goal line with 12 players, 5 in the backfield, and scored to beat them. No flag.

I thought their coach, I think it was Earl Bruce, was going to literally strangle every one of the officials.

Very good team here... would be hard for me to not find a place for Hillis, Henry, and Jones though.

Agreed.  We should have included some substitution.  Childs or Lucas?  Joe Dean or Williams?  I mean your splitting hairs.  Initially I went with Tyler Wilson...I think he was as good in Bobby's system as anyone. I think Jones was a good Q not sure he was great at reading defenses.

He didnt play receiver here but I think I would take Jones as one of my receivers. Jones, Childs, Wright, and then a toss up for the next guy in a 4 wide...

Made me smile ear-to-ear to see some of those names and remember.....

Wasn't Berry Foster the FB that had that unusual 4-point stance?  Looked kinda' frog-like but handled the position well.

Had a decent NFL career.  Lasted a long time I think Pittsburgh.

Foster did not play much his first couple of years in the NFL.  Then the Steelers hired Cowher in 92 and Foster set the Steelers single season rushing record (Still the record).  He only played two more seasons and injuries limited him both those seasons.

Nailed it, With Kenny Hatfield as head coach, CCM running a witch's brew of the Flexbone, HUNH and RPO and for good measure Monty Kiffen as DC...

Yes, you are right.  I was thinking Montgomery and typed Morton.  I had been thinking about him as one of the RBs.

It's going to depend on which offense you want to run -
Running the option-I or RPO:

QB - Matt Jones
FB - Peyton Hillis
TB - Darren McFadden
WR - James Shibest
WR - Anthony Lucas
TE - Hunter Henry
OL - Shawn Andrews
OL - Jim Mabry
OL - Brandon Burlsworth
OL - Freddie Childress
C - Jonathon Luigs

Running the Flexbone or Wishbone:

QB - Matt Jones
FB - Peyton Hillis
HB - Darren McFadden
WB - Alex Collins
WR - Anthony Lucas
TE - Joe Dean Davenport
O-Line is the same.

Running the Power Spread:

QB - Ryan Mallett
RB - Darren McFadden
WR - Anthony Lucas
WR - Joe Adams
WR - Jarius Wright
TE - Hunter Henry
O-Line is the same.
