Manzeil, Mayfield wannabe do not want. Watched him in High School multiple games and he never really impressed me. Is he in the portal now that Fields is going to OSU?

I watched a documentary with him and the Georgia QB as seniors in HS. I don't know how you weren't impressed he's fast quick and has a great arm. He is extremely cocky but that was in HS. I would love to have him if he came with a good attitude.

We won't be in the running he's not coming or considering Arkansas.

No, but he'd get out by a kid named Shane just not with the name Falco.

I hope Fields doesn't get the waiver he's looking for.  If he has to sit out and Martell leaves, OSU is going to have a less than ideal QB situation this year.

It would be entertaining to watch how that would play out if he did go there though since DTR was his backup for 2 years in HS.

I'm thinking UCLA.

I actually think this makes sense as well.  Closer to home (Las Vegas) and the right offense for his skill set although UCLA is rebuilding.  Utah might also be a dark horse here, not mentioned.  But offensively and depth chart wise, it makes a lot of sense for the same reasons, right offense, right coach, close to home, P5 conference. I could definitely see him in the Pac 12.

My guess is OU.

I think Spencer Rattler is going to scare away the transfers from OU. Hurts can probably beat him out since Rattler isn't arriving in Norman until the summer, but If I'm not immediately eligible next season I don't risk it.

One would think one of these years OU will go with a homegrown QB instead of a transfer. They have at least 1 4 star already there, probably more and a 5 coming in.

If they become transfer QB U will they continue to be able to sign 4-5 stars to come in and keep the bench warm for a year or two before losing the job to a transfer?

I think the Texas QB or SMU QB are more reasonable to suspect to transfer to Arkansas.

Have a hard time believing someone from OSU or Bama would come here. Mallett was an exception...he was an Arkansas kid at Michigan when Michigan was miserable.

If they keep winning and keep getting into the playoffs they can do and sign basically anything and anyone they want.

he may not be quite what Trevor Lawrence is, but, Rattler is a damn fine QB. Im just thinking "Last Call for OU QB transfers". Since Martell has to sit a year, I'd say you are right.

I concur, Rattler probably isn't Lawrence. It probably takes him a redshirt year.

I concur, Rattler probably isn't Lawrence. It probably takes him a redshirt year.

Lawrence is being called one of those generational type kids or at least one that only comes along every few years. Andrew Luck is the last player hyped as much from the time he enrolled in college that I can recall.

The height to see downfield, the big arm, good mobility and great poise. Someone in the NFL would take him in April if they could. In the first round. High in the 1st round.

It's a lot to live up to. The pressure on the kid will be enormous from now on. All this could go to his head. Teams on Clemson's schedule will pore over film, studying his every move.

They will have 4 new starters on the O line next season and a 15 game win streak. They have a kid from CT coming in, a 4 star. When they lose next do the fans start calling for the new kid?

Dabo was a little annoyed earlier in the season due to sky high expectations from some fans. That is one reason I don't think he will ever coach at his alma mater, at least not any time soon even if Saban did move on.

But this whole one year thing at QB is a dangerous thing to keep doing for OU or anyone else IMO. It's like over reliance on Jucos. I want a grad transfer in 2019 for us, hopefully no need for that again unless it's due to injuries.

It's kind of a quick fix, stop gap deal done by fly by night programs in the past mostly, at least every year..

Most of the good ones are. Several recent and successful Arkansas quarterbacks were too according to people that went to class with them. If the kid can play sign him up.

Its carzy to think...but the True freshman at Texas Tech was actually the highest graded freshman qb in the country this year. Kingsbury know his qbs... thats for sure. And no im not saying he is better than Lawrence.

I could care less if he is cocky. I think we need someone like that to get this team from quitting. This kid was 41-0, 3x National champ, not state but national, he is a beast at running and passing and all that while only playing the best teams in the nation. I think I would be a little bit cocky as well. I know it's far fetched but it would be cool to nab someone like that.
