Hog 2020 offers in Memphis & Tenn
« on: January 08, 2019, 02:29:13 pm »

Arkansas has offered a ton of recruits from Tennessee for the 2020 class, with at least 7 in the Memphis area! I just wonder what Morris & Co's chances are in out-dueling the usual suspects that recruit Memphis year-in and year-out (Memphis, Tenn, Ole Miss, Alabama, etc)?

Chavis and those guys have a good reputation in Memphis. Remember Arkansas basically signed 2 kids from Memphis this year in Eric Gregory and Shamar Nash. Yes they were at Bradenton IMG Academy, but from Memphis. No one gave them much of a chance to go into Murfreesboro, Tenn., and beat Tennessee and Florida for a WR  and also land a CB from there. Morris is treating Memphis and Tulsa as part of the state and recruiting it hard. That was opposed to the Bret way of thinking that kids from Memphis and Texas were overrated.

The UofA has become a cool option for college in Memphis the last 2-4 years, and it keeps improving it's image.  It will jump dramatically if we have a good football and/or basketball season.
