Are we certain he wasn't "encouraged" to try for the NFL?  I am not so sure the staff didn't recommend the NFL to him?

My first thought when I saw the headline. Best of luck to him.

I have no knowledge on it, but I sure wonder if that is what happened.

Hate to see him leave.
Always thought the staff got embarrassed and overreacted with their public punishment and suspension of him for the talking to cheerleaders.

😳😳Whaaattt? Jeez!

I wouldn't be a bit surprised...

Anyway, good luck to the kid.

Lol, guaranteed money is about $75K for a 6th round signing bonus. No guarantee on the contract, have to make the team as a 6th round pick. If you aren't at least projected to be a 3rd round pick, there is zero reason to leave college early. He is a solid college corner and I do wish he had stayed another year.

Wishing him the best and hope it works out for him!

No its not guaranteed, but 75k is still a lot of money to a 21 year old kid.  Did you get a check for 75K when you were his age?

What does he really have to gain by coming back?  As much as he has played since he's been here, I doubt there is that much room for improvement at this point, he is what he is.

At worst he'll make a team's practice squad with a $7600 per week minimum.  If he gets called up to the main roster during the season (whether its short term or permanent), he will make significantly more.  That really doesn't sound better to you than dealing with the grind of being a student, and playing football, and not get paid?

Wow!  He NEEDED another year to develop/improve.  Wish him the best, but I think it was a poor decision on his part.  Next man up!

Yep agree.  However.  I am not so sure he and the staff see eye to eye.

That's been my suspicion for a while.

No reason to leave for a Round 6 pick.

I believe he was encouraged to leave one way or the other.

Probably was. Either way he can go showboat while losing 45-7 in the Arena football league or where ever he ends up. Best of luck to him. Next guy up!

How late in the draft will he go? Is he a combine freak type?

Why sticky thread Ryan "never beat" Pulley? It's a waste of space.
