Completely agree with the post about Justice Hill. I hope he comes out for Spring ball just to see how he stacks up. Could be our Kyler Murry

We've been spoiled the last few years by Jones, Dick, and Allens, names which even the most marble mouthed residents of Possum Grape or Poyen couldn't botch..

After years of Quinn "Garvey" or "Groovy", Barry "Looney", Clint "Stoner", Ryan "Sorehand" and the misspelling of Mallett, I was rooting for Bryant to be the guy, but according to the gurus, that's not looking good.

Buechele is going to be "Bushel","Buckley","Bushnell","Michelle","Art-Shell", "Shells and cheese", "Butchly" or just "Bush" since he is from Texas if he is the guy we bring in..

D. Nutt's former physical therapist would likely prefer "Butchly"..

LOL.

Can we add Kniles Davis to this? What about those marble mouth morons who insist on the retarded quip "bert"? Gotta add in a BEELEEMA, BEENUMA?

Letís say we donít get KB.  This guy may be a real option.  My greatest concern is that his name would never be spelled correctly on here 😁

If KB says no, bring him on.

Does anyone know if  Herman and CCM have similar offense schemes?  I havenít watched Texas.
If Alabama fans can learn how to spell 'Tagovailoa', we can learn how to spell this kid's name.  I'm going to wait to see if he actually comes here before trying.

Well there was an Alabama fan last year who started a thread on one of their message boards asking whether there would be a language barrier for Tua since he's from Hawaii, so there's that.

Sounds like there is somewhat of an expectation of Buechele to transfer.

https://hookemheadlines.com/2018/11/19/texas-football-shane-buechele-an-attractive-grad-transfer-target/

https://247sports.com/college/texas/Article/Texas-Longhorns-Football-Tom-Herman-UT-important-positions-to-fill-in-2019-recruiting-class-early-signing-period-national-signing-day-125947028/

"As expected, Cameron Rising and Casey Thompson both redshirted this season. With Shane Buechele doing the same — although he could very well wind up on the graduate transfer market — the Longhorns have a good situation for themselves on paper heading into spring practice. Sam Ehlinger has solidified the position and the addition of Johnson to the room will allow the staff to take spring to evaluate what they’ve got behind him and, if it’s needed, take advantage of the time remaining in the upcoming cycle to snag a second 2020 quarterback."

Q: So, what are Shane Buechele's options?

Carlton: At this stage, Shane Buechele can stay at Texas as an overqualified backup or transfer elsewhere. Right now, Sam Ehlinger is established as the Texas starter. As an early entry freshman, Buechele could be in line to graduate and then transfer without sitting out a year. And because of the the NCAA's new redshirt rule, he will still have two years of eligibility at a different school. Given Buechele's skill set, the best fit would probably be a true spread offense.

Hopefully we do now, but you can see he is running the offense we run.  The RPO reads etc. I would be excited if Shane was our QB next year.

Do you have some inside info or just a gut feeling?

From what I've heard we've already reached out to several QB's that have announced they're transferring.  Once Buechele officially enters the transfer portal, I'd imagine our staff will be one of the first to contact him.

I forgot about "Kniles" Davis, but he wasn't a QB and I was discussing QBs.

As far as "Bert" there is nothing marble mouthed or "retarded" about it. It fits and apparently gets under his skin.. It is not a malaprop like the others but an intentional thing, no garbling required..

Wait and see

He may not be coming here, I don't know but suspect you don't either. He is unlikely to stay at Texas if he graduates IMO.

Some say he's a "OU lock" but they have a 5 star FR coming in, could be a KB situation for him there.

Also IMO, Tate could be a good fit for OU IF he leaves AZ and IF OU wants him. What grad transfer or QB of any stripe wouldn't listen if OU came calling right now?

I'd say there is a good chance Buechele won't be in Austin next season and I know he has a lot of Hog fans among his followers on twitter, including two household names in the state of AR..

If we reached out to Alex Delton (we have), we'll reach out to Buechele.  Just can't until he enters the transfer portal.

Now, whether or not we have a shot at him, I have no idea.

Wel SJ Tuohy started following him on twitter this week. But whatever

Buechele also follows Coach Morris, Coach Craddock, Coach Traylor, Jordan Traylor, Devwah Whaley, and Kofi Boateng (is he going to finish school here even though retired?). So, there are existing relationships for sure. However, I can't find anything that says when he will graduate. There are numerous articles out of Austin that speculate on the possibility of him being on the grad transfer market this offseason so it looks like he will be graduating in time to play at another school next season if he so chooses. It just doesn't look like it will be in time to be here for spring football which feels like it would limit the impact of any grad transfer QB we look at. I just wonder how much of the offense they will be able to have down by the start of the season.

I read somewhere he would Graduate over the summer. So he would only have part of the summer and the fall to get ready.

With that said what he ran in HS and the 2 offenses he ran at Texas are similar what we run

Jeff Traylor is clearly familiar with him at he was there for Buechele freshman season
