Bama just fumbled and State recovered. Of course, Bama retains possession and they don’t even bother to review the play. Absurd.

Strange that the replay officials (in Birmingham) who answer to a Bama graduate (Steve Shaw) didn’t stop to look at that. LOL

Can't wait to hear what James Carville thinks about that last Miss St series before the half

At the half Bama hasn’t broken 1 rule! No flags. Too bad the officials don’t watch Cotton who holds almost every play. I’ll bet Sosa still has marks on his neck from running up against him

MSU just flat tried to, and may have, injured Tua. Came on a blitz and Danzler put his helmet straight into the knee cap with the brace.
Love or hate Bama, that was dirty playing.

I wasn't thinking it was dirty when it happened. But, you may be right.

I didn’t see it when it happened live but after seeing a replay it looks like the Miss St player did target his knee.

State defense called out Alabama plays before snap after 2 early TDs

Quote
At first, it almost looked too easy.

Alabama was slicing through Mississippi State’s sixth-ranked defense with ease. These Bulldogs had allowed just nine touchdowns before Saturday.

Then it was 10.

And 11.

The Crimson Tide’s 14-0 lead after two drives was ultimately all it needed. That was also as good as it would get for the nation’s top offense in a 24-0 win in Bryant-Denny Stadium. After gaining 156 yards on the first two possessions, it managed just another 149 for a season-low total.

Alabama running back Josh Jacobs explained at least part of what happened after the hot start turned cold.

“They kinda caught on to what we were doing,” Jacobs said. “Some plays they were calling our plays out so we just had to make adjustments to that.”

More specifically, they were reading Alabama’s stretch running plays.

“The defense was so they were slanting to the side we were running the ball to,” Jacobs said. “So, once we made adjustments to that, we were fine.”

State also turned up the heat on Tua Tagovailoa.

Tagovailoa was sacked four times after Alabama had allowed just six sacks all season. He finished 14-for-21 for 164 yards with a touchdown and interception.

I sensed some sarcasm from Joe Moorhead when he mentions that Alabama had zero penalties on Saturday.
