QB tackling
« on: September 24, 2018, 02:29:37 pm »

What a joke the protection of the QB ahs become so make a new rule.

Decide before the game if you want your QB to be tackled in which case he is considered the same as any other player on the field with the ball or he wears flags. and is not to be touched and he can't cross the line of scrimmage running the ball.  Maybe make them wear skirts with the flags.

Yes, remember this when comparing today’s qb and stats to previous generations.

A good solution?

If a defensive player TOUCHES the QB, play is dead. He doesn't get hurt, and the O doesn't gain an unfair advatage

Ridiculous?  Of course, but no more ridiculous than how they are doing it now.

Make it two-hand touch.
