Going to Patriots Pre-season Game!
« on: August 19, 2018, 11:49:16 am »

Hey All, My father-in-law got 2 tickets to go to the Patriots vs Panthers game this Friday! So I was just curious if anyone has had any experience in trying to get to talk to players or get autographs.

I’d love to get Deatrich Wise and Trey Flowers’ autograph/picture, and yes, I even hope to get to talk to Bret if he’s there too. I’ve never gone to any of these, so any tips as to the best way to go about it would be awesome.

Thanks!

I don’t know much about NFL games, but my general advice would be:

1. Wear Razorback gear to get their attention. Maybe bring a Razorback flag to hold up
2. Get in the stadium early & get down close to field where warmups will take place
3. Don’t forget the 2 magic phrases:
A. Please
B. Go Hogs!!

My family wore Hog gear & took a Razorback flag to a yankees vs Red Sox spring training game this year. 10 minutes before first pitch Benintendi came over & signed 4 items for us. James McCann of the Tigers signed our Hog flag at a spring game also. We were the only ones he signed for. He was in a hurry at the time but took time for us

Just my general advice
Good Luck!

Thanks for this! I’ll def wear my Arkansas gear!

So, will I need to be prepared to yell out to them? Give the Hog Call? Or will I basically need to hope they see me?

I went to one several years back.  I had a sideline pass.  Try that.

The food court, concession areas and hospitality rooms will be likely places to find Coach Bielema I bet.

Any or all of the above-whatever seems to be appropriate given how far away u are from them. I’d think a big, bright red Razorback flag would stick out like a sore thumb in the Panthers stadium.

Just get as close as u can to where the Patriots defensive line is warming up, hang your Razorback flag over the railing near the field (if u can), & be ready to call their names & yell “Go Hogs” or “Woo Pig” if you think they’re within earshot.

Again, I’d advise to get their early (like be in line to enter when the gates open) & head immediately to the closest place u can get to where they’re warming up. Often, asking ushers for advice on where to go & how to accomplish what u are attempting to do will get u some very helpful information.

Let us know if you have any luck

That's completely uncalled for, yet funny as heck.

I'm sure Coach will attack his new position with a great hunger.

Went to the game but there was 22 miles of construction right before Charlotte, so we didn’t get to the stadium until about 30 minutes before kickoff. Had a good time though and got to see Wise and Wright make some plays. Flowers didn’t play from what I could tell. I did see Mr Bielema during warm ups though. Not sure what he was doing, but I would assume he was monitoring...something.

The game was lousy but the experience was pretty decent. The Panther fans were overall decent people except for the old man sitting in front of us who would flip off the refs, fans, and anyone else he deemed worthy of a call went against the Panthers.

I’ll post pics if I can ever figure out how to from my iPhone.
