Members of the University of Maryland athletic staff have been placed on administrative leave, pending the outcome of a review of the death of football player Jordan McNair in June.

ICYMI:  Former USC assistant AD for Sports Medicine Dr. Rod Walters was hired by Maryland in June to conduct a review into the death of football player Jordan McNair who was hospitalized following a workout May 29th and died June 13th.

Maryland president Wallace Loh says he and AD Damon Evans met today with parents of Jordan McNair.

Lot said he issued a personal apology and told the family "the university accepts legal and moral responsibility for the mistakes that our training staff made on that fateful day."

Sounds to me like they had a subpar training staff.
Took too long to identify this kid was in a heat related crisis and he died because of the delay.
If they had put the kid in an ice bath or maybe even in a cold shower he probably would have survived.
