Full pads with heat today second day of full pads

I thought we tapered a little bit after our halftime but came back strong  at end. We've got some guys that are giving it out there

I put Connor Noland in with the ones and John Stephen with the twos to see if they could move the ball.

We held Randy Ramsey out of some of the work today due to a slight hamstring issue. On Dorian Gerald, it's all about getting him in game shape now. He has got to get to game shape

Randy Ramsey is really doing a good job on the edge. Gabe Richardson is doing some good things. Dre and Scoota are doing good. Hayden Henry is playing a lot of positions and doing a great job always showing up around ball.

Dee Walker and Grant Morgan doing well.
D'Vone McClure just keeps showing up as does Ryan Pulley

Interesting. Do you think this was more for motivation to the older guys or just what he said and these guys may actually have a shot this year?

We want to stay off the ground and not dive at people's knees. Michael Taylor is really flashing some.

Hjalte is looking good at center. Today was better than yesterday. He's a perfectionist and wants to be the best. Moving him there makes us a better football team.

we have got a great RB group right now. Everyone challenging and pushing each other. Maleek Williams continues to show up. Rakeem Boyd still trying to get into game shape. But he is gonna be a great one for us.

Jordan Jones is having a really good camp he is standing out. He has a lot of confidence. He's making plays out on the field.

Austin Cantrell is a guy who picked up where he left off in spring

Jeremy Patton is playing with a lot more confidence. He is a caring kid. He wants to be great. He has matured so much since I have seen him.

O'Grady has put three straight days of doing things well. It's about stacking good days on top of good days.

Grayson Gunter is playing multiple roles. He is able to play at some of that WR position. The RB and TE rooms have a lot of depth.

I have told Armon Watts this is a fresh start for you. I told if you can stack up good days on good days you will like the end result.

I think we have several freshmen who can help us.

I think Foucha can really be a good one

Ladarrius Bishop has done well

Noah Gatlin and Silas Robinson are getting a ton of reps. They have done a really good job.

Isaiah Nichols has a lot of fight in him.

You will see Sosa at both end and tackle. I have been impressed with both T.J. Smith and Jonathan Marshall and Armon Watts, Isaiah Nichols and Sosa some inside I like our depths at the tackles.

I have been very impressed with Brian Wallace's practices. I have been really pleased with him. He provides stability at right tackle.

Hjalte Froholdt is taking a lot of reps at center. We hope Dylan Hays is back on Saturday.

With Kirby Adcock we are trying to find that right fit. The right side of Johnny Gibson at RG and Brian Wallace at RT is very solid. Now we have to get that left side ready.

That QB info is interested. I wonder how Connor looked with the 1s compared to Story and Kelley.

According to this article, there's still a noticeable gap between Story and Kelley and then the rest of the QBs.

Just 2 or 3 days ago Morris said Hyatt was looking great and was a guy no one was talking about, which they liked. We don't know what's going on, but I don't think he's fallen out of contention.

I don't know how much you can believe from these interviews.  When's the last time any of this stuff carried over to a season where you went, "dang coach was right that D really looked good"

Okay. Then why are you here? It's obviously not to get information. Because why should you believe any of it?

Yeah, I understand coach-speak. I get it. And I do think people who take the words of a coach as Gospel are kinda silly sometimes. But I have no reason to think in this case that Morris would just make that up.

Sounds like Hyatt has all but fallen out of contention for the job.

In the video of the PC, Morris goes on to say...."They [Noland/Stephens] did a good job...as have Cole, and Daulton, and Ty have done to this point"

Not that I'm reading into the comment as far as a depth chart, but Daulton was mentioned before Ty--certainly not forgotten.

Every time I hear about how well Brian Wallace is doing.....well....

I'm sure you all know where I'm going with that.

Good for him and the team. Bad for other people's reputation that aren't around anymore.

I doubt Morris is singing songs for us fans.  I believe he realizes every player he has will try to find out if hes talking about them.  And if he is, is it good talk.  Just another way to mentally prepare this group for the upcoming wars.

I really like that he knows he has a team beyond the first 25 to 30 overall players.  Very refreshing coach.  May not ever win a game here, but he sure talks and looks the part.  Hes almost got me believing he really likes coaching and doesn't mind spending time out in the sunshine preparing them.

The players mindset is our weakest area that needed shoring up and he seems to work on that daily.

I haven’t had a problem with Wallace’s performance and thought he should’ve played more over the last two years. What I never understood is the last two years he makes his first starts of the year against Bama. That did him no favors

I never understood the equation for falling out of favor for the last few years. Sometimes it was understandable. Most of the time it was absolutely strange.

Games and favorites were played last year by DA online coach, and it was not stopped by Bret. This has been confirmed and not just drawing a conclusion.

Agreed.  The offseason was an important part of that mix too.  After reshaping their bodies Morris commented on how the players came back a more confident team.

Morris while having all the coach cliches down pat, is very direct and doesn’t use a lot of coach speak.  If you ask a question, you get an answer and it is pretty straightforward.  He isn’t trying to be cute or coy, he answers.

I'm in the camp that believes we got us a Football Coach. I love Coach Morris. Man, I love this staff. And these kids. I think everybody is working as hard as they can, giving their best.

It's early in the process, but I think the Razorback Project is well underway. I'm just enjoying the build.

yeah, he's got a purpose.  And it's higher than football.  That came through in one of those clichés when he said something like a football coach isn't who he is, it's what he does.
