The oline needs help but it wasn't as bad last year as what some seem to think. We were easy to defend due to play calling and predictability.

Guys, we have lost 1 starter from the O'Line and most of you were screaming for him to be replaced last year.
We lost a kid that came in as an O'Lineman, moved to D and then back to O'Line.

We aren't down to nothing, yet.

Doesn't matter.  We've got four superb QBs and any of the four would start in most programs.

At least that's what I've read on Hogville.

I predict the Oline will be better at protecting the QB, given that we won't be running slow developing play-action passes in obvious situations.

With the depleted OLine, will our 1 and 2 QB's make it through the entire season?

SEC defense's will be licking their chops, coming after our OL and blowing up plays, just like they did when the Allen boys were taking snaps.  My only hope is that CCM actually has a backup prepared to play when an injury does happen.  I still remember that Missouri game where BA could barely move, yet we put him out there to take snaps and get demolished time after time.

Are you assuming that our passing game and the release time of QB's is going to be similar to what it was last season? I don't think that will be the case. No one is going to be standing back there in a stationary position holding the ball for a 3.5, 4, 5 count that virtually assures that someone on defense is going to find their target in the backfield. The vast majority of the time the ball will be out of the QB's hands much more quickly than last season. That alone should diminish the number of hits that the QB's take and the Sacks Allowed as well.

This is a reason I think Hogs will struggle big time, and could lose at Colorado State.

Remember Hog run plays getting stuffed and QBs getting clobbered last year?

How will O-lin be different this year, except without NFL draft pick Ragnow?

All the "Chad is offensive genius" talk will surely make up for depleted O-line this year, right?

Of course, to be fair, you always think the Hogs will lose.  And people saying nice things about our new coach has really rubbed you the wrong way.

I expect the Hogs to be what they've been for a quarter-century in the SEC, a program that wins between 42% and 47% of its SEC games.

Positive talk about the new coach has not rubbed me "the wrong way," at least not probably the way you think it has.

I hope Chad Morris succeeds beyond everyone's wildest dreams, and maybe gets good enough to win around 54% of his SEC games, which would put him at the absolute pinnacle of success at Arkansas, and probably result in statues being erected in his ever-lasting honor.

But I do think that lots and lots of Hogs fans are overestimating BOTH how bad Bielema was and how good Morris might be.

Really need to stay healthy on the OL from here on out. Not saying we are going to be factor on the National scene, but UGA got to the NC game, with 8 scholarship lineman last season, starting 5 we're iron men, most good OL's are. To further hinder us, I am not sure, we have a DL player, who doesn't figure into big minutes this year, who could flip over to offensive line and help us.
