You can tell in the UF coach’s comments and body language he knows he won the battle but lost the war.

We ended up with over 500 in the thread. Over at the TT board I think they had 3 people.

Does anyone else feel like TT left some runs on the bases that the Hogs would have scored? They held runs at 3rd in the 7th and 8th that I was surprised by and felt we would have been more aggressive.

We've had our moments on the bases as well.

It was like the 3rd base coach was waiting for someone to say, “Simon Says run home.”

Too many mistakes by Tech—the misplayed ball in left field, the throw to 1st at the end, the strikeout on what would have been a walk/RBI (and as importantly, preserving an out). Who knows how that inning would've turned out. But man, did they fight.

In the last few innings, I just kept thinking "keep using those pitchers, boys."

Well, to be fair, that means they did have a 100% turnout on their board by all their fans.

The one thing Tech did that I don't think the Hogs do in that same circumstance is gift Florida extra outs and runs ...

Anyone besides me stay on until the bitter end when the analyst said Fla would throw Singer tomorrow, and then if that doesn't work try to win game 2, and have Singer back for game 3 of the finals.

What is he smoking?  They lose tomorrow...turn out the lights.

The three tech fans on their board were so upset and offended by the fact we were salivating at the mere thought of playing them instead of Florida, they intentionally willed their team to lose and sabotage our chances in the process. Now that's real.

They have a lot of live arms, but Byrne and Butler are the top two options.  Byrne is a truly elite reliever, but outside of him, no one should worry the Hogs.  Both Byrne and Butler threw tonight.

There's not enough to do in Lubbock…so of course they'd come up with some convoluted outcome scenario like that.

His only outing allowing more than 3 ERs this year was against the Hogs in Gainesville.  You know he is having flashbacks.  Not sure what would make an opponent want to get into the fetal position more - Singer against our offense or Loseke against Texas Tech.

You know Singer is in his own head a little after getting shelled by Tech on Sunday - now he's thinking about pitching once again to the lineup he can't do anything against ....

Byrne looked arm weary last night. I'd doubt he pitches tonight.

They were a bit unlucky at one point. With bases loaded and two down they hit an absolute rocket straight to the right fielder. That could have been the difference.

Can't say they were unlucky when they held runners at 3rd two different times that they should have sent. They beat themselves.

They definitely blew other opportunities. That particular moment was just a tough break though. Florida is the better team and deserved the W at the end of the day.

This is correct.  Bases loaded, one out, and did not score.  The Florida pitcher, Leftwich, was on the ropes and probably would have been removed if Tech had cashed in.
