Not recently, but when I did play it years ago, I remember how different the two 9s were.  Front 9 I believe was relatively flat and playable (for me).  Back 9 was up on the hillsides with narrow winding fairways and it was impossible to keep a drive in the fairway.  Pretty views though.

I get up there about once a year.
It's not what it used to be, but still scenic, and nice.
They switched greens to Champion Bermuda a few years ago.

You're right about the two 9s being totally different. You can't get away with anything on the back nine, better be on your game. #14 is the par-5 that has the huge drop from tee box to fairway, about a 200 yard carry just to reach the fairway from the back tees, with a tight landing area to hit as well.

If you're going up there and playing a lot of golf, check out the 2-for-1 deal with Mtn Ranch and Tannenbaum. Both owned by the same person. Pay one greens fee and get the other one free. They may still have that deal going.

We did the 2 for 1 back in March and I thought Tannenbaum was in better shape, but still enjoyed playing both courses. Made for a great day.

Greens were grainy and the bunkers sucked, but other then that itís in pretty solid shape.

To be fair, other than courses Iím not allowed on, most Arkansas courses have lousy bunkering.

A lot of courses donít have the revenue to keep up bunkers. Never have understood why they just donít convert to grsss bunkers.

Or just buy a sand pro and have a guy run through the bunkers a few times a week.

I think its a money problem in that courses are having a hard time keeping good help with what they can afford to pay.
