Here's a hypothetical.  If both Noland and Jefferson are next level type guys what is your strategy so that you can keep them more than a year a part?  Don't redshirt Connor and RS KJ?  If Connor plays all 4 you then have KJ stepping up for 2.  If Connor leaves after 3 you have KJ for 3?

I think you always plan on redshirting your incoming QB, and let the chips fall where they may. If someone comes in and blows the other QB's away, then consider yourself very fortunate and plan on recruiting another one to take his spot when he leaves. You'll probably have a QB transfer out if he does come in and start. It's a good problem to have.

What if Noland decides that baseball is the route? This would not surprise me at all, especially if he gets the RS and isn't the guy in '19.

You know...we have rarely been successful pulling a recruit out of MS.

The ones we have gotten from MS have seemed to always be great, but we just never seemed to win the battles of getting kids out of there.

Really good sign we got this kid.

CJ McClain could ball. I Remember when he smoked an Auburn return man on the opening kickoff in 95 as a freshman. A few plays later, Lunney rolled out left and we scored.

As I mentioned a month ago here, he's very raw and will definitely need a redshirt.  He's a fine athlete who to be honest will likely play at another position in the SEC.

This is true and I've never understood it. I know some players want to stay close to home but riddle me this.
Why would a black athlete want to choose a team called the "Rebels" ? .......with cross bar flags flying everywhere, along with the fact that every 2 or 3 years they have some sort of racial "incident" on campus.
And their in-state rival's most popular hang out area is called the "cotton district".  I just don't get it.

CJ is one of my really good friends.  Love that guy.  He would sit in on my show most days and I considered him a co-host for a long time.

We were going to do a challenge where he tackled me as I was running through cones.  Just to see if he still had it.  Oddly, I never put that stunt together.

But, but, but....didn't OM officially abandon their "Rebel" moniker a few years back ??? You know, the infamous Rebel Black Bear or some such nonsense while the Hooter was still their HC? I mean those were the days my friend.
