Has Arkansas ten out on the s-curve before yesterday's action. Has 6 in from the SEC, Ole Miss as the first out, Vandy at +6, and Bama at +9.

Probably where we will be at the rest of the year.

No, Missouri isn't even in consideration at this point.

We still have quite the uphill battle after dropping those two home games. We are in a decent position after the road win but our margin for error is still very slim.

We are playing better but still not where we need to be. Gotta pick up these next two home games.

There will be MANY Top 100 NET games to be played that can overcome the home losses, we wouldn’t be under this pressure if we would’ve won just one of those games but here we are, still with a good a chance as most to make the tourney.

I still like this team.  The slump shouldn't have surprised me but the close Texas loss and Indiana win got my hopes a little too high.

The beautiful thing is the team's ceiling is still pretty high. Right now its all about weathering the storm until we can put everything back together.
The road win preceding two winnable home games is a great start.

After the weekend’s action the SEC has seven in including Ole Miss moving to the 7-line.

Arkansas remains in others considered.

There is no seed list with this Daily Update used by USA Today

At this point bubble teams are never in or out of it.. for those teams, the season is just starting ...As we see every year, conference games, especially later in the season, will determine most bubble teams fate...

9 wins
or
8 wins + SECT win

This would put the Hogs in the conversation.
8 road games  7 home games left

I agree that is the minimum.. at that, they'd be holding their breath on Sunday.. I hope we get to 19, but wouldn't bet the house on it.. if they finish 6-9/7-8, then win 2 in the SECT, do you think they would get in at 18-16?  19-15?

As soon as we're back on the bubble I'll start my tracker, but...... we'll need a decent winning streak to get to that point. Fortunately the SEC killed it the second half of the non-con so we are essentially tied with the Big East as the #3 conference this year. (#1 Big 12, #2 Big Ten, #3 SEC, #4 Big East, #5 ACC (down year), #6 AAC, #7 Pac-12 (why are they still a P5?) ) How the conference does in the Big12/SEC challenge will determine if we hold onto the #3 spot.

We'll likely need to be 21-9 heading into the SECT to have a shot at the bubble. That would require us going 11-3 to finish the regular season. The only team to pull off a turnaround like that was the 2006 team that won five straight to finish SEC play. I don't think this team has the experience/potential to do that.

No way.. that's a crazy number.. 20 wins at anytime, we are in.. probably 19... we are seeded and probably in the T25 at 21-9...

Don't think we will have to worry about being on the bubble..we are a LONG way from the bubble. We still have several very difficult road games and this team hasn't proven they can even defend the home court, unlike the past few years when all we really needed to do was win a couple of road games for signature wins b/c we won nearly all our home games.  I see us winning a total of 16-18 games.

Nah.  He has Florida in as an 11 in a play in game vs Texas and then listed them in First Four out.

Maybe in the 90's when 20 win seasons meant automatic hole-punchers. We play 31 game regular-season schedules now. We only have one non-con win against a fringe top 50 team and two sub-100 losses at home. Last year USC had 23 wins and Nebraska 22 and they missed out. Even the 19 win snubs had much better SOS's than we'll have. 21 only gets us into the conversation.

What was Bama last year?   We'll see if it happens.. Imo, 19 wins sweats a bid, 20 a lock... hopefully we get to discuss at the end of the season..

Bama had 19 wins with the #3 SOS in the country and was #36 on the s-curve, they probably could've even lost another game and been safe. I don't think Arkansas will have that luxury because of our non-con SOS and bad losses.

We have 6 ranked teams left.. should help sos... as I said earlier, the season is just getting started for bubble teams...long way to go.. still say 19/20 is the number...

Bad losses will stay with our resume at the end of the year. Games in November and December are just as important as conference play. Anybody who follows the bracketology knows this. Not to mention that they were home losses, which makes it significantly worse

the reason I say it's just starting for bubble teams is, they now start playing each other in conference games...many more games against other bubble teams.. but since your an aficionado on bracketology, I'm sure you already knew this..
