Keith,

Couple questions on the team.

1. Do you know why they chose to compete in the NY region?

2. Is the gofundme a common thing for teams to raise money? Why would pro basketball players need funding to go give this  a run?

I know G League salaries are low, but I'm thinking most of these guys can pay their own way for a weekend trip or two. And Ronnie could likely cover anyone who can't.

1. If you look at the dates of the South's 1st two rounds of games, you'll notice the games take place during NBA Summer League. We were thinking ahead of everything else, so we'll have our full team in NY instead of missing Dusty, Jacorey, possibly Moses if we were to play in the South; thought that was an excellent strategy by us.

2. Yes GoFundMe is common for several teams. Challenge ALS (lost in champ game last year) gave me the initial idea when they messaged me last fall with a copy/paste message asking for funds, and I've seen others such like Iona, Louisiana United incorporate it this year as well. TBT covers all housing/traveling expenses beginning after Round 2, so we have to cover flights/hotels to Brooklyn. 13 of us

Excellent strategy on #1, as I've seen this happen with teams in the past, but didn't know it was avoidable. Also didn't realize that TBT covers expenses after round 2, so that makes sense why they just go toward Brooklyn.

Not sure I completely agree with the rationale for a gofundme considering these guys travel on their pro teams dime all year. One would think they have some kind of hotel/mile status or something to cover a weekend in New York, even if they aren't a multimillionaire like Ronnie, but then again I know professional athletes aren't always the best with their money.

Either way a weekend trip to New York I don't envision a person needing donations as it is a small expense for a greater prize. But I'll certainly leave the gofundme up on the first page.

80% of winning these games come by having all of the players for each team show up and very seldom do all guys show up. Last year, my team had all the guys make the two games, Kenny Boynton failed to show up in Round 1, we barely won; wouldn't have won if he had made it. It was either NE or Midwest region this year for us to make it with full crew, and we chose to stay away from Jared Sullinger (Scarlet & Gray), Big Ten alum team, and others at least until the final four. A lot don't agree with the gofundme, but we have other events in place to allow fans to meet/interact with our guys. Meet & Greet in LR set for June 23 at Del Frisco's. Thanks for the support!

Anyone who hasn't voted by now please use link on first page, sign up, and go help. This is the last week to vote for the team and it would be nice to see them finish strong and #1 in fan voting.

Kelly, is there a charge associated with the June 23rd meeting in LR at Del Frisco? If so, what is the cost and what time does it start?

Ouch! That is steep. Head out to Bud Walton, FAC, HYPR, or a couple other places in Northwest Arkansas one day and you can run into at least one of these guys in the offseason.

Whats an ap at Del Frisco's run $10 for Chips & Guac, $10 cocktails?

It's not that much more if you add it up honestly and there's more incentives too..

If I took just my hypothetical kid, it would be $110 for a soda, 2 mixed drinks, and 2 appetizers. Hell we'd both leave hungry and have a max $40 worth of food/drinks in our stomach, and I'd assume most adults would prefer a beer or 2 or maybe not drink in front of their child.

Now say I have 2 kids I want to bring, that is $150. Hell I could take them all to a game at Bud Walton, with dinner included for half that price. What about the wife? Nope can't afford to have her come along as she isn't even a sports fan. I'll tell her to sit in the restaurant at separate table to wait on us.

I get the idea of a fundraiser and all, and I'm sure some Arkansas fans can splurge on a meet & greet like this. But it is a ridiculous price. You can get the whole football teams autograph at spring games offered by the university for free.  I know these are pro athletes and all, but there is limited NBA experience and value for any of their autographs. It's not like someone will come to this event looking to flip an autograph for a quick buck.

He ruins everything.  I'd listen to the Morning Rush on a regular basis if he wasn't there.  I turn it on for 5 minutes, Nicks talking, change station.

I was following the Team Arkansas twitter account all week getting excited each time a new player was mentioned.  See his name associated with it today, and it's like OFFS why?
i really hate the way he talks. like he's used to talking to 5 year olds... or, he himself is mentally 5 years old...

Last day to vote. Anyone that can, please help me and sign up using my link. I'm in 12th place in fan support, and need about 5 people to move into the Top 10 on the last day.

Looks like Team Arkansas will be #1 in fan support, proving once again Razorback fans are the best!

Fans have until the very beginning of August to gain points/move in our standings. Today was the team deadline. The teams who didn't finish in the Top 9 in each region did not earn an automatic bid into this event; their only hope would be to get an at-large bid now; there will be several teams who will not qualify. We obliterated everyone else.

We'll find out what our seed will be and our 1st round opponent next Wednesday afternoon, June 6th per @thetournament Twitter. Thank you all for the support in this!

Well, the Big East pod (in our region) starts at the end of this month. And the other regional opening 2 rounds start mid-July. Don't shoot the messenger.

Not sure if this affects a lot of people, but......   Del Frisco's in Little Rock is closing its doors in one week, so our June 23 Team Arkansas LR Meet & Greet is officially cancelled... Just a FYI.  TBT bracket comes out this Wednesday. Stay tuned!

Team Ark gets the 7 seed in TBT 2018. Faces Tim Thomas Playaz (former AAU guys). Tim Thomas and Coach Pat were AAU rivals a few years ago. 11:30 AM ET tip-off on July 21st on espn3.

I recognize quite a few names on that roster, but I think we're better.
