Dowell Loggains
« on: February 05, 2018, 06:19:37 pm »

Guy is a stud. Great play they copied in the super bowl. I remember watching the same play live when the Bears did it and they mentioned Dmac and the Wildhog. He'd be an excellent addition to Morris's staff if he wasn't ingrained in the NFL. Believe he's from Newport. Very proud of him.

Look for him to be an NFL head coach within five years

The Dolphins hired him last month and they already fired him?  Or do you mean he got fired when Chicago fired their coach?

He was let go with basically the entire staff in Chicago when Fox was fired. Hired by the Dolphins soon after.

It's not difficult to do a little bit of research, Shane.

Amazing love for a guy who did nothing in Chicago. The Bears did everything they could to keep Vic Fangio, their DC, shook Loggains off like dirt on their shoe and hired an OC as their head coach because they were worried about Trubisky's development under Loggains. Is the op the same one who proposed Loggains as a possible Arkansas head coach during the coaching search?

30th in total offense and 32nd in passing offense. He’s a winner.

it's almost like you didnt even look for the info thats out there. DL may turn out to be something good, and if he does it'll largely be b/c of Adam Gase helping him. Da Bears were terrible af offensively last year. Do you even NFL, bro?  ;)

Rookie QB. No wideouts. Loses starting TE. League Average O Line. No clue if he'll succeed or not, but winning in the NFL (and at any level) usually comes down to talent on the field. The Bears had next to no offensive talent.

The Tribune gave Loggains a little conditional love today. The Bears had one of the most injury ravaged O-lines in the league but still, on occasion, could fashion a running game with Howard. They gave Loggains (and the O-line coach) some credit for that dubious success but overall there were no tears with the departure of Loggains. How could there be given the results and the high anxiety in Chicago about whether Trubisky will develop successfully? They needed a proven quarterback developer either as the head coach or the OC to avoid the charge that they didn't do everything possible if he flames out.

That’s higher than our recruiting rankings.
