Patrick was fantastic by all accounts and this is an unfortunate loss. The "carpetbagger" is Chris Freet, a career administrator with the biggest ego on the hill and zero Arkansas connections (who no one seems to like), and having to work for him is likely part of why Patrick left, unfortunately. If anything, Patrick should have gotten Freet's job. Edit: I am not affiliated with them so have only dealt with Freet when an issue popped up but when asking around after the way he treated me that seemed to be the consensus. Don't mean to authoritatively bash Freet, just my exp.

Great guy and real professional.  One of the best.  I always enjoyed working with him.  Many of the SID’s were “no” guys.  He always looked for a way to say yes, while still protecting the coaches and players time.

I always enjoyed working with him.
