Lou Holtz
« on: December 07, 2017, 07:56:51 am »

I remember Lou as coach at Arkansas. I do not remember the reaction when he was named Arkansas coach but I am sure it was  unimpressive to most fans and Im pretty sure the reaction was the same No social media back then like we got this guy to replace a legend. I'm not saying Morris is a Lou Holtz  type but maybe a diamond in the rough.

Yes. That’s pretty much what fans thought when they heard we hired guy that failed coaching the Jets, and had been coach at William and Mary. But Broyles saw the Woody Hayes assistant.

Yeah, always sucks hiring someone that the NFL hired.  It was a very different time in sports than today's world.  Even Lou would tell you that.
