Then after razorback rd is finished we can maybe get the ghetto west side facade finished.
They should have included it in this current project. It has something to do with the road and doing it at the same time though. Widening the sidewalks and moving the road over or something. It's a big mess of an undertaking from what I understand.

I assume that the UA Testing Center & Islamic Center of NWA would have to come down to move the road over. Never really thought about all that.

Maple is definitely torn up as well. I didn't realize they were re-doing the road too. Should be interesting.

Widening it. Not sure if to 3 or 4 lanes.

I wonder if it would be possible/feasible to put a pedestrian bridge at the intersection of Maple and Garland.

Probably not as you have tons of foot traffic in every direction on both sides with the students.

It would be great, but how do you justify another $200 mil to renovate the west side for basically aesthetic purposes?

With very few exceptions, most all SEC stadiums have an equivalent to our west side.

Yes....next year they will widen from Staduim to Garland.

That will definitely help with the gameday traffic  I applaud the University and City of Fayetteville for forward thinking.

I don't think they're touching Razorback road beside the stadium until they figure out how to finish the stadium over there. You'd have to search around but Mike Irwin did a long info discussion on this and the reasons why etc.
Would love if they would do it but I think they'd have to tear out the hillside to the west of the stadium and it's a big big to do.

Next summer: From Meadow to Maple, three lanes, two going north and one south.....

Looks like we're annexing parts of Oklahoma and Texas. Good to see! WPS!

And apparently there is a giant light socket somewhere near Lake Village.....far out.

My guess is they'll do a lot more than that when the time comes. That upper concourse on the West side needs badly to be widened and renovated.

Haven't seen it mentioned on here... but it looks like the base to the "Wild Band of Razorback Hogs" statue is now in place. It's much larger than I had originally pictured it being (that's what she said).

A big elevated pedestrian roundabout that had glass ramps up to it so that it would look like a UFO with a Razorback underneath it when lit up at night... Kinda like a four legged spider...

Loaded my old Cutlass up one Friday night and five or six of us left the UAM campus in a perfectly altered state for seeing said lights. Spooks must have taken the night off....either that or I drove laps around a field outside of Hamburg not having a clue where I was.

Is there a Hog logo or anything on the backside of the South Endzone video board?

In unrelated news, an additional 196 parking spaces will be constructed near the Clinton House Museum. May be an ideal area for tailgating as there is an established tree canopy. This project would be in-conjunction with the new Stadium Drive Residence Hall. This area of campus is really going to transform over the next few years.

http://planning.uark.edu/campus_planning/content/housingplan_greeklife.pdf

The Douglas Street Parking Garage seems to also be moving forward, but no time line yet.

http://planning.uark.edu/campus_planning/content/douglas_street_garage_study.pdf

They could get another 200 parking spaces by Burning Down The House..!

Hell yeah....good ole weevil days.

My buddy had a old blazer. Only the high beam headlights works. Anyways we are going down the road to get to the “lights” and a car flashes us with headlights signaling to dim. His ride was either high beam or off. So he turned off his lights in pitch black. The car swirved. And what do you know, good ole boy Ashely county deputy sheriff. We were all patted down and the car was searched top to bottom. Thank God we were clean that night.

I hate to beat a dead horse. But why did they not just make a bowl out of the stadium?  We are still suffering from Jeff Long influence.

If the University and City of Fayetteville were "forward thinking," they would have planned way ahead of the population growth that was predicted for years before they did jack!  They are not forward thinking, they are catching up thinking.

Six weeks until the first game, and the construction company is making no progress on the exterior of the north end zone.  Shoot, they can't even get the green stuff covered on the front....  No railings installed yet on the playing field side, nor has one seat been installed either.

When I was younger it was in DeValls Bluff, the same town where Craig’s BBQ is.  Sometime in the ‘80s or early ‘90s, it burned to the ground.  Not long after that it reopened on Highway 70 between Haren and Carlisle.  It’s still open there.
