For those of you who have been, or are there now ... I need some tips on parking at (or near) TD Ameritrade ... we will be staying far enough away that driving to the park is the only option ...

I have been parking in a gravel lot three blocks north of the park.  Turn off Cuming Street onto N 12th, right beside the railroad car exhibit. Follow 12th Street unto you see the people taking your money.

Only $10 and has been easy to get in and out.

I parked in a gravel lot for $10. It was at Cuming st and Florence blvd due west of the stadium. it was an easy 5-6 block walk and we got back to the interstate quickly too.

There is plenty of parking within walking distance of the stadium.  Make sure you bring both a credit/debit card and cash.  Some lots take cash - some only use a card.  Here is a map of the parking:

Prices can range anywhere from $10 to $25 but I'm not sure if they will bump those prices up for the championship.

One of the best parts of going to the CWS (outside of watching the Razorbacks play) is walking through the fan zone and merch village.  It's baseball nirvana with a state fair atmosphere. I advise getting there a little early and enjoy the festivities.

Looking for a tailgate in Omaha
« Reply #19362 on: June 23, 2018, 03:02:51 pm »

The wife and I are looking for a tailgate we could join, we're parking in Lot D, but the location of the tailgate doesn't really matter as long as it's somewhere around the stadium.

Is there anyone who wouldn't mind two crashing?  We're more than willing to chip in to help cover the cost.

Is Hogville EI planning one?

There is a tailgate sponsored by the Razorback Foundation on Monday starting at 2 pm at DJ's Dugout that someone posted about in another thread. Believe it said $25 per person. They will have appetizers and it includes 2 drink tickets but there were limited tickets available.

I saw that one, does anyone know if it is an indoor or outdoor tailgate?  Looking at it via street view, it appears to be an indoor location.

Ok that is cool and all but more of what i was thinking was this: a couple of hogvillians with the classic 9x9 hogs tailgate tent and no admission fee. Just organize with a group of us and all park together and everyone bring all the refreshments they want versus two drink tickets for $25

It is indoor. It's a pretty large bar and grill type place with lots of TVs. Went there yesterday and got some wings and they were pretty solid.

That is where my head was at as well.  I prefer a good parking lot tailgate to going to a bar.

No idea about a parking lot tailgate. Honestly, I have seen very few people tailgating but I didn't walk through the stadium parking lot either. Maybe some people tailgate there.

Well Chromdome35. Send me a PM on Monday, maybe we can meet up and have a few drinks and conjure some hog fans together in a parking lot and have us a good old tailgate

Most of the parking close enough to have an effective tailgate are all parking pass required lots.

We have a parking pass to Lot D which is just East of the Stadium.  I just don't have the equipment to have a proper tailgate.  I've got chairs and a cooler and plenty of cold beer.

The parking lot between the stadium and centurylink arena has a sidewalk going diagonal that is lined with grass wide enough to set up a tent. On opening weekend it is lined with tailgating. It would be easy to pull in front of the centurylink arena drop off area and drag your tent and supplies across the street to the tailgate area.  When LSU and TCU are in town walking down that strip with the Cajun food and the mesquite bbq, it is an incredible delight to the nose.

Same rule as for bringing bags into events at UA. A clear bag and a small clutch purse. Anything bigger and you will be directed back to your vehicle or to the nearest trash can.
