Sir Loins was the best when open. I worked there in high school in the late 80's. Best. Job. Ever.

One of my old college roommates was a waiter at Sir Loin's.  He'd started in high school and kept the job during college.  We knew he did well, but when he was about to graduate and started interviewing for marketing jobs with companies, he turned the first few offers down because he said he made more at Sir Loin's.

Riverfront Steakhouse served the best I've had in Little Rock.

Agreed, the KC Strip there was the best!

Arthur's prime steak house is the perfect blend of southern hospitality and good food says one customer on Foursquare.  Ask for the filet mignon and order a freshly made chocolate soufflé' for desert.

It will more than likely be announced two weeks ahead of time, unless CBS uses  the 6? day option.

Lots of guys made more there than they could at "real jobs". Those guys knew how to party too. The drunkest I have ever been was my sophomore year with a bunch of the waiters.

Going with a group of college buddies. One of them got his undergrad from Arkansas and just got his MBA from TCU last year (Bleeds Razorback Red). He has a tailgate setup already... We're staying with my inlaws.

I purchased tickets mid-July. All lower level seats were $125 and up when I ordered them, so I imagine they may have gone up by now. I've heard there isn't a bad seat in the house though, since their "upper-deck" isn't really that high up.

I'm not in charge of booking the hotel, but I think we are staying downtown. Saw some reasonable rates back in July ($120/night) but haven't looked since.

Hope everyone has a safe trip down to Fort Worth, to Call the Hogs all the way to a much-needed early season victory! WPS!!!  :razorback:

I don't have tickets but am still interested in going.

I know I can call the ticket office, but someone here may know if there's any chance at getting tickets still (through our office). I've been a Hog season ticket holder for 10 years, but I'm not super high in the pecking order of longevity and/or donations. This has kept me from getting away-game tickets before.

For you guys who got tickets through Arkansas' office, what section(s) are we in?

I think that our allotment sold out pretty quick.  TCU's stadium only has a 50k capacity so the visitor section is smaller than most away venues.

You can still buy tickets to the AnM, Auburn, Mississippi State, and Mizzou game via the Foundation.

Here is a stadium map for TCU:

Visitor sections look to be 226-229 and 412-416.

Sorry--I didn't phrase the question right. Where did you get the tickets? Some hog source? TCU? Stubhub? etc?

But it is good to know where the red and white people are located. I'm still interested in making the trip to Frogtown, just for old time's sake.

Stubhub.com

Probably paid more than face value but it's a road game trip I can make. All the SEC towns are too far from Oklahoma.

There are plenty of places to stay near TCU. If you are looking for a place close to the stadium, your best bet is going to be one of the hotels on S. University near campus and University Village Shopping Center. There is always the Omni Hotel and Worthington that are located in downtown. You will be next to alot of great restaurants and bars and the Sundance Square, which you all have seen if you watch ESPN Gameday the past 4 years. This is where ESPN always sets up when events are going on at Jerry World. ESPN likes Fort Worth more than ** Dallas. There is also Air BnB if you are looking for a house to split with folks.

If you have never been to Fort Worth i highly recommend coming down for the game. TCU has a beautiful campus and Fort Worth is an awesome town.

Yeah I could be there in an hour from my house. I wish I was younger so the heat would not bother me so bad but my meds tend to dehydrate me. It will be plenty warm during the game on Sept 10 so I'll watch from home. Jerry World and A&M will be a few weeks later in the comfortable AC and I'll be there.  :razorback:

Arkansas WILL have a good showing. With our largest alumni base (outside of Arkansas) being the DFW Metroplex, there's no doubt we'll eat up every ticket available. I've been to a few away games, but I'm extremely excited about this one. Verbatim from my buddy (who got his MBA from TCU), the stadium is nice, but smaller and even the 2nd level is still very close to the field.

Yea I've been looking at views from the seats I'm thinking about buying, and even in the upper upper deck, it's still a great seat as far as being close and having a good view.

We bought ours on the 2nd level in the visitors' section. He said the top of the 2nd level (on the visitors' side) is about as high as the top of the 1st level in DWRRS.

Fort Worth used to be My Town. Then it quit hailing for two years, the building boom busted and the roofing got scarce. Made a lot of friends and money there, but the wife couldn't bear the thought of a trip to Fort Worth after Tres Jose's closed down. Best Mexican food in the world...

It was 87 or 88 when LR got 13 inches of thunder snow. I had a young lady from Hayden,AL staying with me for the week in my apartment over the river. I had not got all the way home from work and had to walk up the hill. After two days of being snowed in I called The Faded Rose. By God they were open. We walked down there and the blackened strip I had was the best steak I had ever eaten. A soaked salad, some judges cheese dip and a couple of crown on ice made for a fine adventure. I've been gone a long time now but still miss The Rose.

I almost ate there tonight.  Went to copelands instead.  Pretty good but I love the faded rose.
