On Friday, hit Crystal Bridges first and then make Eureka by lunch.    Be back in Fay. for dinner.

I'd go Herman's, Hugo's or Doe's for Friday Night.

You might check out George's on Dickson for some live music and drinks after dinner

I'd suggest attending the game on Saturday.

Otherwise, sounds like a fun weekend.

Don't correct him…if he thinks it's Sunday, that'll be one less Tide fan yelling for his team!

I second everything in this post. If you have to bump something—or shorten something—to see Crystal Bridges, do it.

If you want some good food, since you will be at XNA anyways, Id drive over to The Rail Pizza Co in downtown Rogers and have yourself a Pie and some of the best wings you will ever eat.  Also you can scope out Crystal Bridges in Bentonville.  My favorite food in Fayetteville would be Sassy's, Hugo's, and Mojitos.  Bring a jacket, it's been chilly here at night.

Oh also, best place to eat in Eureka is Sparkys.  It's a fun dive atmosphere.  They have some nachos there that are crack.

Not sure what the weather in Fayetteville is supposed to be, but if you like desserts and if the food trucks on Dickson are open, swing by the Burton's Comfort Creamery truck for some very good soft-serve.

The museum in the Broyles Complex is likely going to be closed to the public on game day.  It will be limited to recruit families and VIP guests.  Check it out Friday.  I agree with the others that the Crystal Bridges Museum is a must.  One on the finer museums in the central United States.   Also, try to hit Dickson Street Friday night. Dickson Street is Fayetteville. Have a safe trip.

Also agree with the herd about Chrystal Bridges.  On the way or on the way back on Hwy 62 between Rogers and Eureka Springs you should stop by Thorncrown Chapel.

Do yourself a favor and check out Flyway Brewery in North Little Rock after the game.  On the corner of 4th and Maple.  Best brewery in central Arkansas.  No, I'm not an owner but these guys put out a great product.

Question about concessions and rest rooms in Razorback Stadium
« Reply #18113 on: September 27, 2016, 09:21:48 pm »

I'm sitting in Section 511 Row 3 (East Upper Deck) and when I was looking at your stadium, the chart at the below link says the nearest concession is Section 513 and nearest male restroom is Section 515.  Is that correct?  Just wondering. http://www.arkansasrazorbacks.com/pdf/football/2016/stadium-map.pdf    Looking forward to visiting for the 1st time.

Thanks

Can't say for certain the exact locations, but I never had any trouble getting to a restroom or concession stand up there in the past.  Might take you a few extra minutes if you go at halftime when everyone else is headed that way as well.

If you are concerned because you have a disability or are mobility impaired, go to Gate 1 on your way in and they can help you with getting a pass to take the elevator up there and assistance as you might need it.  We had to do this a couple of times when my girlfriend had a broken leg and couldn't get around very well, and they really went out of their way to help us.

I hope y'alls concessions are better than Bryant Denny's.....it wouldn't take much.

Little Rock has ended up with an amazing number of great breweries.  Flyway, Blue Canoe, Rebel Kettle, Lost 40, Stones Throw, Diamond Bear, and Core (same folks from Springdale) are all going good in the Downtown area, and Buffalo Brewing is going well in midtown.  If you are coming in for the game, you have tons of places to try out.

Our bathrooms are top notch.

I used to prefer the long troughs for nostalgia reasons but it can get uncomfortable when they get packed and you have a ton of guys with their weiners out staring at each other.

Just depends, I'm not a huge fan of the stuff they distribute (outside of Leghound which is a quality beer), but at their tasting rooms and breweries they have some great beers available.  I've had a couple stouts and imperials at the tasting room in Rogers that were very good beers.  They had a double IPA called Black Lighting that was probably my favorite Core beer.

In Little Rock, I personally prefer Blue Canoe at 425 E 3rd St. The Razorback Rye PA and the stout are awesome.

I'll check out Flyway this Spring after we move back to Arkansas.

Bottom line for folks traveling to LR -- there are some good young breweries in the Rock.

Congrats, I've got a couple of family members who are alcoholics. I know how tough it is.

Personally, I love beer, but if you can't enjoy a couple without binging, it's probably best not to drink.

As far as parking, if you want to park for free park at Baum stadium and walk up the hill to the football stadium.  Or there are shuttles that run back and forth if you don't want to walk.

It will be crowded all day with tailgating, get there early and enjoy the atmosphere.

We parked at Fayetteville High for La Tech game and it was an easy walk over (Fayetteville High borders UofA campus).  It's an easy walk and takes you right by BWA if you want to pop in for a look around or buy some gear.

In the past if I was planning on getting my Dickson on after the game I'd park on Dickson St and then walk over.  It's a bit more of a hike but takes you right through campus.  Dickson is paid public parking but not too much to get covered for the entire day.

Hope you enjoy the trip.

To piggyback on the previous post, if you want the Dickson Street experience, you can park at Central United Methodist Church.  We have parking just behind the building outside and a four story parking garage as well.  It is a good hike, but you pass just about everything on Dickson street on the way.  I agree that Fayetteville High is a great option if you pass on the Dickson Experience. Have a great trip!

The free shuttles they are talking about only run from the Baum Stadium parking lots up to the stadium.  They start running 4 hrs prior to KO.

A cornucopia of choices on places to eat, all will be busy, so plan accordingly. As far as parking, Baum is free, and the closer you get to the stadium, the more it will cost. You won't be able to access Razorback Rd as all of that is scholarship parking, but there is parking north and west of the stadium on some side streets. FHS is also a good choice, and handy. Just have some patience, as it will be packed on the streets, especially post game. Enjoy, I've been coming from Jonesboro for 20+ years.
