Pretty sure this is a UA Alumni group up there that has watch parties.  Try this: http://www.arkansasalumni.org/s/1429/index.aspx?sid=1429&gid=1&pgid=252&cid=1395&ecid=1395&crid=0&calpgid=61&calcid=667

Definitely a better chance of getting into a fight at the WH, lol.  Should be fine for a Hog game, though.

Ive been nearly arrested at the WH on several occasions, due to my quick wit and pathological disregard for the feelings of others. it helps to be good friends with the kids of cops.

Hey everyone. I just moved to Dallas, and I know it's a huge hog fan area, but are there any specific bars that hog fans tend to congregate more to especially with the LSU game coming up? Thank you in advance.

Hakuna, c'mon man. Henderson Ave Country Club in Uptown is great. Usually 100+ Hog fans and the bar is dedicated to Arkansas games only. 10% of all food/beverage sales go to a scholarship the Dallas chapter set up. We were able to give out 2 x $1,000 scholarships this past summer to DFW high school students headed to the Hill.

This is the place.  I've been watching games there since the GDRC moved their watch parties there in 2010.  Especially for the bigger games, we have the majority of the place and we Call Those Hogs whenever we want to.  Fun to watch the other folks who wander in look around with a quizzical look on their faces.

Come join us - but . . . better get there early!

Living in lower ark is more like living in North lousiana, the amount of LSU fans seems to be higher than the Hog fans. I used to live in the nolia too, glad to be back in central arkansas, seriously though the only place I knew of was bayou bistro but that was owned by lsu ppl also.

Bull.

I don't know.  South Arkansas and Northern LA are a lot alike.  Hell, growing up in El Do, we'd go to Monroe instead of Little Rock.  Listened to Monroe radio stations.  The terrain is the same.  The towns are similar.  The people are similar.

The similarities you mentioned are spot on. However South Arkansas is mostly Hog country with LSU fans mixed in, North Louisiana is LSU country with Arkansas fans mixed in. That's true of most states border areas.

Well maybe so, but I lived in Magnolia for 2 years and it Seemed that every hog fan I met there were 2 or 3 LSU fans. I suppose everyone's experience is different that was just how it seemed while I was there. Had to go to alot of chemical plants so maybe they were just transplants

Well, I wasn't really speaking to their fandom.  Just talking about the general experience of growing up there.

There are definitely a lot of LSU fans in El Do and Magnolia, but Hog fans outnumber them by a longshot.

Born and raised in Camden. Moving to Magnolia now. Magnolia definitely has a lot more LSU fans than Camden. Camden is definitely Hog country. I think the fact Camden has sent a ton of players to be Hogs is the reason.

Man I'm originally from Magnolia, so I kinda know Camden. I'm not sure if there is a official watch party there. I dont really think there are any sports bars there. I'm sure the White House, Postmasters, or the Sandbar will have the game on. They are all restaurants that have bars but as far as a sports bar im not sure if there is one there.
Sandbar is closed on Saturdays

When did it stop being the Post Office?  I moved to Camden in late '60s and it was already in the current location.  I know by the late 70s and through the 80s, the current location was pretty used up and needing remodeling.  I haven't been in the old one since it was Y95 in the early to mid 90s.

Living in Camden until the end of '89, never saw any fans of other schools except for people who moved in.  Overwhelming Hog fans in Camden.  Magnolia in the early '80s, when I was in college there, was either Hog fans or Rider fans.  I knew some who either worked at SAU or their parents did and were just SAU fans.  But on campus and really around town it was lots of Hog fans.  Probably AR moving to the SEC and having some mediocre years, the proximity of LA to Magnolia and LSU getting better in recent years than they were prior to Saban have all added to being LSU fans in the area.

It was great in Camden getting radio and TV from LR, Shreveport, Monroe and at times could even pick up Jackson.

LSU Trip Report
« Reply #15595 on: November 15, 2015, 02:40:05 pm »

Pregame:  I only got there an hour prior to kickoff so not much time to evaluate. But there were a ton of GREAT tailgates with big screens, grills, drinks and such. All the fans were fine. The worst thing I encountered was a few "Tiger Bait" taunts but they were good natured taunts.

The atmosphere:  What a let-down. One of the main reasons I went to this game was because I've always wanted to see the legendary Death Valley at night. At no point during the game was it as loud as Fayetteville. Not once. And most of the time it was DEAD. I asked several LSU fans what was wrong and they mostly said that LSU fans are either all in or disinterested. Once they lost to Alabama and were out of title contention they stopped caring. 7-1 record and ranked #9 and they are already giving up on the season. I can remember 2 third downs when the crowd tried to get loud to help their D...but the best they could muster was about like a Fayetteville third down when we're already up by 28 and on the way to an easy win. And the atmosphere wasn't lethargic just because we blew up to a 21 point lead. It was dead from the kickoff.

The fans:  At the game the fans basically ignored us. Neither rude not polite. This has been mentioned a lot all over, but the fans began leaving at half. At least 2,000 people walked out at half. It was only a 14 point game. Pathetic. Later when they cut it to 7 points and had tons of momentum, we countered with a fieldgoal and the floodgates opened. Just a 10 point difference and tons of time left and they were flowing out. I was completely stunned.

Post game:  The hog fans roared. It was sweet. The LSU fans quietly wandered away. I never saw anyone being confrontational to a Hog fan.

Overall:  Great game by the Razorbacks!  After all I've heard about LSU fans spitting on you and throwing bottles and all that (not doubting those things happened to others) I didn't see anything like that. The fans were a big disappointment in their fanhood...but they didn't give us any trouble at all. I was glad to see my Hogs silence that place but I was disappointed not to get the full LSU night game experience.

Go Hogs!

Nice report.  Glad you didn't have any problems.  I would guess losing to Bama and then going down by 21 early resulted in a pretty subdued crowd.  Glad we could help keep them calm.

Interesting post. I've always heard how nasty things can get down there with LSU fans. Heck, the nastiest fans I've ever encountered were LSU fans at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.
I'm glad to know our F15 pilot got out unmolested....
